What are people's opinions regarding the calorie content of alcohol?

For instance did you know that 1 pint of lager has 215 calories or 1 standard glass of sweet white wine has 165 calories?

or that alcohol has 7 calories per gram and is only second to fat which contains 9 calories per gram?

According to the BBC consuming 1 large glass of wine, 3 alcopops and 1 single shot is equivilent to 1 burger, 1 doughnut, 1 jaffa cake and 1 danish pastry (760 calories).

How does this make you feel? Would this information make you change your drinking habits and cut down on alcohol or particular alcoholic beverages that you drink if it was more widely publicised/promoted?

no, it wouldnt stop swim if swim wanted to drink and was bothered about weight gain swim would eat less food. From what my spider understand some slimming groups count up units in a point system so you can still drink and lose weight.

Fuck no,i could care less about my weight and what others think of me,i hate vainity,its soo vain... Grandma drinks around 12 cans of beer a day without any weight gain problems. If you lead an active life you shouldent have any problems staying fit unless you have metabolism problems.


BTW,those numbers change with differing alcohol types,you can phone the brewer for more accurate info.
