Smoking - first time dragon chaser

swim is trying tar for the first time. Swim has never had any heroin before, however currently is taking up to 500mg of morphine (ms contin) orally. Swim has a prescription for taking 3 100mg mscontin daily, however ran short, and swim found the tar to try to keep withdrawals from kicking in.

Problem.
Swim is trying it on foil, should swim inhale the smoke or try to inhale a transparent vapor or something? Also, it smell like vinegar (says swim).

Swim is not sure if he is wasting it, or if the fact that withdrawals arent kicking in means it is working, however swim has not had any great experience.

Swim was hoping for other input.
