I'd really like to hear how everyone would picture their own SWIM'ers ideal set and setting for doing MDMA when doing it at home.

SWIM has been thinking about really big cushions or sacco sacks on the floor - and red and blue lamps for a relaxed session. Without techno/trance music, but instead classical music together with some close friends.

And I kind of like the describtion of the sessions which MAPS do in their research.

There are so many different settings that could all be equally ideal but SWIM once got every single duvet and pillow from his house and the spare ones and threw them all into the middle of his dining room, incense was lit and kept on being burned all night, there was a bong at the side next to a huge bag of green and loads of drinks and the lights were out and there was a single strobey light type thing and some of Swims friends brought glowsticks.
also there was a fan in the room and a handheld massager thing plugged into the wall which was amazing.
6 of swims friends and himself had a very, very sensual night.

definitely have some music playing and swiy massager ready. having friends over also makes rolling so much better for swim. But swims had a bad trip with pillow sacks, they tend to start eating him haha

Little fishy would create a happyhardcore playlist that has some trancecore for the come up, followed by freeform and then progressively harder into gabber for the peak. Once the effects start to wear off would fall back on UK hardcore and some old skool. He would also enable the Milkdrop 2 winamp visualizations on his HDTV and PC monitor for effect. He would make the room comfortable and have drinks ready and everything set out nicely and invite 1 or 2 really close friends over.

That said, a lot of the magic has gone these days, euphoria has dropped off significantly and the empathogen effects has pretty much gone. It can never be as good as it once was.

Theres no place like home, really.

Lighting is very important to my moose. A couple of colored but dim lightbulbs - a blue one and across from it somewhere a red one. Other than that maybe just a blacklight but absolutely no white light. Also he has found just one plain red light to be quite nice.

Music is also very important to him. My moose loves to listen to Enigma or DeadCanDance when he uses substances such as MDMA or LSD. It doesn't have to be one of those two of course, as my moose is very open-minded but he prefers something mellow as such.

Never too many people my moose likes to have company of no more than 6-8 people. It just gets to hectic to him.

Aside from those few things it's anything goes. A few friends, low colorful lighting, ambient music .....and of course substance.

Pope just reminded little fishy, darkness is very important. He gets quite irritated with people who want the lights on all over the place whilst buzzing. Flashing colour light shows are okay and he will even compromise with a dull white light from a lamp facing a wall.

Sometimes, swim enjoys to roll while laying down in bed with four blankets on top of him, a few reallyyy fuzzy soft ones, and a fan pointed at him. The fan gets kind of annoying though, and he usually turns it off some point during but it comforts him knowing that it was on.
Music of course, swim has a playlist set out and listens to lots of happy techno for the come up and for the peak he listens to nice breakbeat/electronica like the crystal method.
Glowsticks end up usually being sprawled everywhere by the end of the night too :]

SWIM dosent mind gettin buzzin round a mates or somthin its funny shit!..

1st off make sure there were some cold bottles of water in the fridge, a sound system with some decent tunes of your choice (would have to be Drum & Bass/Hardcore or somthing like that if it was SWIM!!)
Rinse the tunes out.. Double drop.. Then thats about it, the XTC does the rest!

Wear some comfy clothes too, if your jammin about at home put some nike joggin bottoms on and a t-shirt or somthin!

Swim likes to do it at a club. Lucky for swim that not far from him is one of the best clubs in the world with the best sound system in the world.

SWIM's favorite home experience, is at SWIM's friends house...SWIM will bring over some nice scented candles ( usually something sweet or spicy) and SWIM and friends light them allll over the house. SWIM agree that comfy cushions and fuzzy blankets are a MUST.
SWIM also makes sure to have an amazzzinngg playlist and just jam. SWIM has been a major electro/house/trance/DnB....so on...in the past...however SWIM has found reggae can be a funnnn twist to an at home roll
SWIM has also tried classical music...it is the most beautiful sound and reaches to SWIMs heart....and recommends it
