Comedown - Annoying after-effects

Hi

My bird has been using GHB/GBL for almost a year now. Some periods of almost every day use, some periods of once per week. Never really had a problem with it.

For the last 2 months now, my bird has some problems with it. He overdid it once, combining alcohol and benzo's with it. Nothing bad happened to it, luckily.
Although since then, its dose has increased significantly (5ml to 10ml of same GHB) + the dopamine rebound has been very unpleasant. Although my bird can't speak, it told me that he feels cold, depressed and jittery with a racing heartbeat. He never had problems when coming down, but this is something else, say dopamine rebound x 5.

What can be done to stop this, to return to the almost unnoticable dopamine rebound?
