Oral use - Dosing schedule. Simulteneous dosing vs DMT after MAOI

SWIM is interested in how effective it is to take the MAOI and DMT simultaneously compared to waiting for the MAOI to kick in before dosing with DMT.

Both ways work, and AFAIK both are consumed simultaneously in traditional ayahuasca, though most modern pharmahuasca users wait for ~40min before taking DMT.

Does anyone have enough experience with both to be able to put a number on it? Is there a negligible difference, or does it cut the potency by half or more?

Just for the record, in traditional ayahuasca, the experience isn't focused on the dmt...but more the beta-carbolines. So if the effect of dmt is diminished, it's not noticed as much.

SWIM has done pharmahuasca several times however and would in fact recommend taking the dmt later for potency. SWIM did notice a diminished effect when taking them together.

Here's just a personal note though: SWIM gets nauseous easily. The benefit of taking dmt+maoi together is that if swiy vomits, swiy got a healthy amount of both.

If swiy takes the dmt after the MAOI kicks in (and its nausea), swiy might throw up mostly dmt. SWIM once threw up right before he dosed a massive dose of dmt (phew!). Yet in swim's last pharmahuasca experience, he took the dmt dose before the nausea kicked in, and when the nuasea started to kick in, he smoked dmt.....and well....didn't come back from the trip until 5 hours later haha.

Ok, if it's noticeable it's probably at least 10% less potent. Would you guess more or less than half?
