Hey swim takes a year in two days!


Let swim tell you how he did it... First he never lets a black cat cross his path.. it will doom swiy... Then he always honks when he goes under train tracks.. Also he found a lot of pennies on the ground when he first got sober.... also he prays once a day and uses holy water.... he also stays away from peacock feathers...

jk.. sobriety is as simple as making a choice.. does swiy want to keep on being a loser or does he want to be a winner....He also had support from his family friends and gf.... also drug forum... all this shit about its aa and high powers or jails institutions in death is bullshit.. and takin out of context....

sobriety has enabled swim to pursure his true passions in life.. for example his completely legal indoor daisy grow room!.. swim will post pics soon!

Congrats Spare Chaynge, that is a great achievement. Please refrain from putting down others choice of recovery techniques though.

Congratulations to SWIY! You are an inspiration to me. SWIM is currently tapering off of opiates, and she comes on this board to get support. She reads alot about how other SWIY'S are doing it, so she needs to hear these tales of life. It is also good to hear SWIY has discovered other passions in life. I know SWIM will discover these also.

Congrats SC. Reaching the one year mark is a great achievement and SWIY should feel proud of themselves. SWIY knows my feelings on NA and AA but if they work for someone else, then by all means they should participate in those programs. They didn't work for Red Rock either and he is on his way to reaching 9 months of sobriety in 3 days.

A quick response to lost girl... you are totally correct. Swim apologizes to all he has offended.

It is hard for swim to let go of his resentment towards 12 steps groups... To me they represent failure because i failed to get clean and sober in them.. I am totally positive that if a person is totally willing to get clean and sober they will do it and a 12 step group will certainly help a lot....

but I was forced into it and because of that fact I hung out with the people who did not want to get clean and sober.. the result was me developing extremely dangerous friend ships that resulted in my arrest and eventual overdose...After i left 12 step programs I had the real desire to stop using drugs which resulted in me getting clean on my own.

In addition to this I am also scared by many people who are in 12 step programs telling me I would never make it and i was a loser....

Once again I apologize... sorry to all that have felt criticized...
