5 HTP is fairly commonly used with pretty much every psychedelic
without bad effects. I'd say your safe with that one, but I'm not nearly as familiar with the others. Good luck. |

DMAE sucks try Lucidril instead or one of the other analogs. Also
forget the 5htp and get some good quality Kanna powder. It makes 5htp look like baby aspirin. Try the Shaman sites for the Kanna. Take around 200- 500mg. I love Nootropics. Deprynl (seligiline) is the shit! Have you used that? ANGEL |

what are the alkaloids in kanna? i have never heard of it. 5htp is to regulate my serotonin and for depression thats the backbone of my stack unless kenna has 5htp in it im not going to replace 5htp with it. ill research those though thanks for the input. seren Edited by: seren |

Kanna works just like 5htp except so much better you actually get a
slight "high" from it. It is an African herb. Type it into Google and you will find at least 10 places in the US to get it. It works great for depression. L Tryptophane is better than 5htp IMHO and if you are in the US you can get it from a vet supply company so cheap it is rediculous. All that bullshit about it being toxic is misinfo from the drug companies based on the effects of a bad batch that got on the market from asia. ANGEL |

above is some of the worst advice i have ever heard.
kids, unless you know the particulars of your metabolism and the action of the given nootropic and how it effects your body, dont mix psychedelics with nootropics. especially dangerous is mixing selegiline (l-deprenyl)as it is an irreversible MAOB inhibitor. as i have posted on another forum, in combining selegiline (l-deprenyl, Eldepryl, Jumex, Davur) and members of the 2C family, any potential benefits that you think might be gained are vastly overshadowed by the negatives. THE NEGATIVES INCLUDE COMPLETELY UNPREDICTABLE POTENTIATION, SIGNIFICANT CNS AND CARDIOVASCULAR STIMULATION, CRAMPING OF THE EXTREMITIES, IRRATIONAL AND DELUSIONAL THINKING, AS WELL AS YOUR GENERAL PSYCHEDELIC DEATH TRIP FREAKOUTS. so FFS, be careful and do your own detailed research or you may end up learning the hard way. btw, the benefits of 5-HTP are vastly overrated, it kills an MDMA peak, and i cannot imagine any benefits of coadministering it with any other psychedelic. |

Well, SEREN asked for input into these substances. If you will REREAD
my post you will see that I do not offer the bad advice you say I do. I did not address the "mixing" question at all. I have no experience with mixing as I am not stupid or crazy. You are correct about the Depreynl. It should not be mixed with trip drugs. In my opinion these research chems shoud never be mixed with anything as they can kill you all by themselves. There is one exception I will not go into because it is not a trip chem. Also many of the research chems have no effect at low doses but just a few milligrams more will send you to pluto or worse. I also see SEREN either misspelled SUPPRESSION or DEPRESSION I am not sure which she/he meant and my post would be different if suppresion is what you meant to say. Nanobrain is right in this post but I personally would never take the advice of one whose handle may have been picked through a freudian slip. ![]() ANGEL |

nevermind, what a horrible reccomendation!!!!!! i think this should be a warning to all who take "kanna" "People taking any psychiatric drug (including all anxiety drugs, sedatives, hypnotics, anti-depressants and anti-psychotics and so-called designer or recreation drugs) or any cardiac medications, are advised not to take any Sceletium-containing products. As with most supplements and modern drugs, safety in pregnancy has not been established." -</font> excerpt</font> </font>from supplier</font> Edited by: seren |

They have to say that. It is a legal thing. You have to do real
research and learn to read between the lines a bit. It takes experiance. AND Kanna is like 5htp in the way it works. I never reccomended it as an adjunct to anything. I meant it as a substitute to deal with your depression. It works better than Prozac according to clinical studies. The other two smart drug/herbs you mentioned would be OK but might make you a bit Manic if you are predisposed to it. I would not take any rec drugs if I were you. most of them you mentioned could contribute to depression specially if "mixed" with anything else. Sorry for any misunderstanding. Peace. ANGEL |
