Smoking - Thai Stick

swim hasn`t seen thai sticks since the 70s & even then they were seldom seen.But when they came along swim & her other half would grab them pdq.They were expensive but well worth the extra as they were a very strong,very nice smoke.Beautiful dope.

SWIM has recently had Thai.

It's usually very stalky and seedy, and very smelly when smoked, but not in raw form.

Available a lot in early 70's.


To SWIM not a patch on modern day skunk.

But then again it was one of Howard Mark's Favourites.

SWIM agrees with welshmick - not as good as modern day skunk. Picking through seeds and stems is not much fun, and it doesn't seem to get SWIM very stoned. It's also pretty tarry and the residue is pretty minging. SWIM would only get it when the funk is not in town (an all too common occurrence for SWIM recently it seems).

Having said that SWIM knows people who prefer it so it is down to personal taste really!

What exactly provides the different smoke?
Does the smoke cause a much different high, or much different potency of high?

SWIM finds that the high is nowhere near as potent as with good old skunk; it's kind of underwhelming at best and more a 'subliminal' placebo high for him. It's nowhere near as strong as modern-day skunk varieties but causes the same kind of mongy high you get with indica, only less so, if that makes sense. SWIM doesn't know the process for producing Thai stick so he can't help you out with all your questions, EndThisDisgustingDystopia, he can only say what he thinks of the stuff!

And like SWIM says, this is only his opinion. He knows that the rastas who visit his source frequently ask for thai, so it must have something going for it. Also, SWIM's source, while a lovely chap, doesn't always have the full info on what he's selling when it comes to variety names, so SWIM should perhaps specify that he is commenting on what he has been sold as Thai before.

I'm sure that Thai stick could be grown to yield strong weed. I don't know anything about Thai stick though so maybe the strength is just one of its traits.

Swim tried thai stick not long ago wasnt the best he had ever had but made him laugh alot, seem to be very dry to but that was obviusly just the grower.
