If any of you are into BitTorrents check out this torrent, it is a documentary originally aired on the history chaennel and its about various drugs (Heroin, XTC, Meth, Marijuana, LSD) and how they became illegal in the US.

tonite, there is a non series of all major drugs in the uni ted sta tes, and how they got here and how they are made and well pretty much everything about the drugs.
Lsd, poppy, cocaine, ecstacy, ect... all have thier own shows.

Its a very in depth, very accurate, series. If you are like me and love to watch shows about drugs and learn as much as you can then this is the show to watch people.

I know its new years eve and all, so i set my DVR to record them while im out and ill watch them tommorow.

Its on the "History Channel".

Yea, I came back home around 9 and turned on the t.v. and was supprised to see that program. I'm watchin the marijuana one now with some friends, it's a great program for sure. I saw a few of these when they first came out, but missed the others, and I thought I would never get a chance to see them.

It's quite good. Goes into how they used racism against Black Americans as a way to get popular approval to outlaw drugs, and catapault the careers of certain politicians. It's been shown many times. Shouldn't be hard to find a copy/link.

It begins with marijuana and continues, in 4 episodes of an hour, to MDMA.

SWIM saw the one about LSD and raves while coming down from an acid trip, good stuff. Showed both sides of the drug issue unlike many other documentaries.

theres actually another intrestering mini series about drugs on TV right now, "Hooked: Illegal drugs and how they got that way" it is being played on the history channel and A&E, it gives a history of drugs and their legal status. There are episodes on the following drugs:
1. Marijauana (with about 15 min on amphetamines
2. Opium, heroin, morphine (opiates as a whole but a lot on elixars)
3. Cocaine
4. LSD, XTC and the Raves (also includes info on ketamine, ghb)

They were a nice view on how racial discrimination played a role in drugs becoming illegal, be it the chinese smoking opium in san francisco to cocaine use among african american. It seems that as soon as the Mainstream christian right gov. fears that drugs will break the color line they make them illegal. Idk but good doc.
