Injecting - Horrible Body Aches Everytime Swim Injects

About 45 minutes after swim injects meth she gets horrible body aches they mainly are in her back, but the pain shoots through her legs and jaw too.

It use to happen once in awhile now it happens every single time!! Swim thought it was cotton fever, but she checked and made sure there was no cotton at all!

Along with aches, swim gets shivers, and chills.

Anyone have any ideas? Swim is in paiiiiiiin right now from it. She took two extra strength tylenol, but it takes an hour to mildly work...

Cotton fever can happen from dirty gear as well as useing a cotton,could be a bacteria or contam in your syringe/meth. Does swiy use clean needle every time? do others get the same effects form this meth? has swim noticed this efewct from other dealers meth?

Has this been happening the whole time you have been shooting up? What are you using to dilute it? Is there any air in the syringe? How long you been slamming (from first use ever) and how long since your last break of a week or more. Getting feel like throwing up or getting dizzy? Is the shit cut with anything/you trust your guy?

Not the whole time, mostly the past three months. swim uses tap water, always has. never any air. Swims slammed for about 3 years. swim was sober for two weeks from christmas to new years. yes, swim feels like throwing up, but swim thinks its from not eating. swim always gets dizzy when she's high if she stands up too quick or something like that. shit is always cut, and swim gets shit from 3 different sources or more.

Kinda sounds like the kidneys, are you drinking plenty of fluids? Last binge swim was on, he had this problem. Water helped alot.

I dont know if its the cause of your problem but id highly suggest buying a box of syringes online,there quite cheep if on buys 100+ at a time,at the very least you should be washing 3X with bleach 3x distilled/clean water. Using the same syringe is NOT a good idea. Especially with tap water. You get the inpurities that build up and eventually get injected with you, sending your immune system into over drive which might account for the shivers and chills. Any fever? How about sweating?

Are they muscle aches or joint aches? If muscle aches, it would be the inpurities getting into the system and clogging or contricting your vessels which would very easily be fatal. It could cause a stroke very easily.

Do you share needles? Any lesions? Swollen glands? I dont mean to worry you but you sound like you have some of the very early symptoms of HIV. You need to get tested right away. Whether you share needles or not or dont think you have been exposed, you need to get in. Dont be scared of it because it will only get A LOT worse if you wait. If it is HIV, its nothing like it used to be but its very serious that you get tested.

When shooting up, follow these rules:
-Get a new needle. Go to the local clinic and find out about needle exchanges. They are safe, anonymous and truly law enforcement free
-Use distilled water to dilute. NEVER USE TAP especially if you plan on using the same needle more then once. It doesnt take much for the metal of a syringe to get clogged with the crap in tap water.
-Dont think that just because you have been using the same system for years it means your safe. HIV symptoms can take quite awhile for people to show any symptoms

swim is so stupid. she shares needles among a small group of friends, has for years, everyone trusts each other.

swim had a baby four months ago, so she knows that she was hiv clean then, but looking at the symptoms of it...sounds like swim.....

swim is very scared...she is scared to see a doctor because she doesn't want them to take her baby away.

swims kidneys often ache when this happens. and lately constant headaches, but she thought it was from dehydration.

They are a joint ache, mainly the spine, tailbone, my jaw, and random other bones too, the bones themselves hurt.

And yesterday swim blew out her best vein...which sucks because its so hard to get any of her other veins with a dull needle. >.< There is no needle exchange where swim is.

Did they test for any of the Hepatitis? Sounds like a infection of some sort. Might want to consider going to a clinic to be on the safe side.
As for sharing needles, we all know that is a big no-no, so no more preaching from the peanut gallery.

Well not everyone does so ill say this anyway's,Needles should not be shared even amongst those who you would have unprotected sex with, or have been sexual partners for years. Trust means nothing when it comes to such things,if SWIY tests postive i would make sure to inform all of SWIYs friends that they also are infected with X. hundreds of clean needles can easily be purchased for the same cost as a quarter gram of meth,while your state may have laws against needles most online stores dont give a fuck about your local regulations.

Dont be scared... HIV tests at clinics are anonymous. However, if you are positive you MUST get treated early. From my experience, your symptoms are treatable and early. You dont have AIDS but that doesnt mean that if you have HIV now, in a year you wont have AIDS so you need to get checked before it progresses.

Hepatitis is another possibility. Just go into a clinic, say your a IV drug user and they will work with you. You are a number not a name. Dont worry about your kids getting taken away. It will be worse if you die one day alone because of shooting up.

Order some needles offline. Go up to paramedics in your area and ask. When I was a EMT I had a couple IV drug users ask me and even though I wasnt allowed to touch the needles, I risked it and gave them a couple clean ones. Usually rigs dont have em' but you might get lucky. The clinic you get tested at can get you needles, trust me. There are resources you just have to bite the bullet and go in.

I cannot stress this enough... GO GET CHECKED TOMORROW! Not even joking. I know its scary but its a lot more scary to be dying of AIDS. You might also consider rehab. It sounds like you might have a pretty bad problem. If for nothing else, to get off it for a week then start using again. But you need to stop or change the methods you are using to get your drugs because it will kill you... go get checked, for your kid and yourself.

Wow! SWIM says that SWIY could be seriously fucking up her veins with an old syringe. Have SWIY ever seen a reused needle under a microscope? It gets bent up and dull, possibly even gets little barbs that tear the veins leaving permanent damage when you pull the syringe out.

Useing old needles more than twice is an awesome super fantastic idea!
