Dose - how do i make sustained relese non sustaned?

hi all
first of sorry for spelling,
swim has some sustained release dihydracodeine 90mg tablets, if swim chews them of crushes them will they be non sustained and the 90mg would hit swim all at once?

or not?
or would something else happen?

anybody? it may be a stupid question but swim has no experience with modified releas tabs.

Assuming the time-release system is the outer coating, then yes, crushing/chewing should disable the time-release.

Yeah, and if you've got a snortable opioid (Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, morphine etc...) you could crush it into a fine powder and snort it, and that would beat the time release for sure...

chewing them would work but swim finds dihydrocodeine 120mg SR or more (240mg) sometimes, stronger then the same or larger amount IR.

Not sure why that is but swim find 120mg SR better then 180mg (or higher) IR.

yeah swim takes 3x 30mg tabs that arnt time relese and dosnt feel much but the 90mg time relese ones do seem stronger.... weird

Unfortunately (in my country at least) it is NEVER the outer coating alone which is responsible for the time release.

There is (usually) a wax throughout the pill itself. This means that the pill will only dissolve at a certain rate thereby delivering "around" a certain MG per hour.

An example would be 20mg Oxycontins . . they are designed to release the 20mg over 4 hours. This would mean that it is releasing "about" 5mg an hour. (One used 20mg oxycontin as an example just because the numbers were easy).

This is defeated by crushing the pill into a powder. The resulting powder can then be either consumed as normal or if it is a compound which does not require metabolization via the hepatic system, it can be snorted or even injected if prepared correctly.

One does not know if DHC requires hepatic metabolization in the form in which SWIY has it.

Swimmy bought a pillcrusher to do such things swimmy parachutes the powder (put the powder from the pullcrusher in paper wrap it and swollow)

SWIM does exactly the same with Oxy's. Lower mg's are parachuted and higher mg's are snorted. Snorting Oxy (for SWIM) seems to be rather awesome.
