Gold Flakes on Mushrooms (Vermiculite)
Well i saw some very good boomers yesterday - did not do them but i was wondering what all the gold flakes that seemed to be firmly pressed up against the caps and stems are ??? i hope someone knows ????

i thought vermiculite was used as a growing tool ?? for jane?? or at least that is what i had used it for (are we talking about the same thing ??)

Yes, but there are various forms of vermiculite. It is also a growing tool for shrooms.

Vermiculite is used to to retain moisture, and airate potting soils, It is also used in the casing layer for substrates in mushroom cultivation. If the mushrooms were dry, it brushes off easily with a toothbrush.
