Opinions - stupid first time

I swim was tired and took 10 of the blue adderall 10mg capsules at one time, for swims first time. Swim is 140 pounds and 5'11. Swim can't sleep and is very dizzy and has been drinking lots of water. Anything else to make the night ease into day less stressful since swim definitliy still feels the adderrall 14 hours later... Thanks, have to go to work soon, mega bummer.

What on earth possessed swiy to take 100mg for a baseline dosage?! A tenth of that would most likely have produced the desired effect! To speed up metabolization, swim might suggest consuming acidic food/drinks, and possibly consuming caffeine. Be careful with the caffeine, considering the high level of your dose already, but swim's expereince has shown that it can shorten the length of an adderal trip, at the cost of makred jitteriness and a rough crash.

It seems swim has a high tolerance to many other drugs, googled how much xr to take and someone mentioned 60 mg did little effect on a similar sized body as swim so since swims friend gave 10 for free so swim tried all 10, it's been a straight 24 hours now, still wide awake! Thanks and yes I realize I'm incredibly stupid.

Yes, SWIY is, but we all make mistakes and he has learned from this experience.

My tree wouldn't recommend caffeine - this may shorten the effects of the amphetamine but will further suppress SWIY's ability to sleep. Unless it's unbearable, tell SWIY to wait it out. He will eventually crash and sleep for a very long time. It may be best for him to be ready to call in sick to work.

You've got to suffer. If you had taken a low dose, maybe some other drug would help you relax, but with a dose that high, you're going to have to wait it out. Keep an eye on your heart rate and pulse, if things get bad, call the ER.

Nobody's been on this stuff their whole life and can hardly stomach 60+mg in a day. Just because you have tolerance to some drugs, doesn't mean you aught take heroic doses of new ones.

so its been nearly 27 hours in my system (Nearly 36 since I have slept) and I am prescribed Seroquel which I believe, if I were to take my prescribed dosage of 600mg early in the evening would make me heavily sedated and sleep through the night long enough to make it my Doctors Apptment the following morning?

correct? please let me know if that a bad idea, just trying to sleep a bit....)

Well.. of course SWIY can't sleep..

I'm not going to harp on the dosage being ridiculously high, because SWIY already knows that.

Point is SWIY is lucky to be alive. And what we have to worry about is to ensure SWIY be as healthy as possible considering the circumstance.

1) Keep drinking water. Amphetamines are powerful diuretics, and could dehydrate easily.

2) Force SWIY to eat something. BELIEVE ME, as I've been told from SWIM, nothing is more uncomfortable than the thought of food while amped. However, because SWIY is on such a high dosage, and is consuming so much water, it is necessary to eat SOMETHING! (preferably protein and complex carb)

3) Things to watch: sodium and potassium run notoriously low during speed binges (both are regulated by urine production). A pinch of salt should be added to every bottle of water consumed. When salt levels run low, the individual can become dehydrated (no matter how much water is consumed). Potassium deficiency is more unlikely, but still possible. A lack of potassium in the body can result in seizure or heart failure (especially dangerous considering amphetamines greatly increase heart rate). Foods high in potassium include: yogurt, bananas, orange juice, and peaches. DO NOT take a potassium suplement! Potassium salts (the form in which they are found in "Potassium Supplements") spike blood potassium levels and lower the seizure threshold. The combination of spiked levels and amphetamines could be lethal.


Follow this and SWIY will be fine (SWIM's done worse, and lived to see the next day).

Sorry to be abrupt. But that's really, really bad advice! I understand you're just trying to help, but caffeine is the LAST thing that the OP needs!

Caffeine works by increasing levels of glutamate and decreasing GABA. Glutamate is an amino acid that serves as the body's main excitatory neurotransmitter, while GABA is the exact opposite, serving as the body's main inhibitory neurotransmitter.
By increasing levels of glutamate, the potential toxicity is greatly increased. The high levels of this neurotransmitter can amplify the overall effects, causing a significantly higher increase of dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin in the brain (the main neurotransmitters effected by amphetamines). There is also the increased risk of coronary and kidney failure for that exact same reason.

100mg for a first time dose is not such a good idea...
SWIM wouldn't go as far as to recommend calling the ER, but SWIy should just feel lucky SWIy didn't have an allergic reaction or something.
From SWIM's experience, a relatively large pharma-amphetamine dose will just cause most people to feel jittery, anxious, and uncomfortable for a while. Doesn't sound like a good way to trip in SWIM's opinion...

Swim knows that seroquel helps to sleep and in some cases could prevent swiy becoming psychotic from taking this much adderall. Swim has taken seroquel, which slows down the brain and works on dopamine which would be in high excess from this much adderall, SWIM thinks this is correct-- but nothing can be certain, and everyone is different.

i hope you learned a lesson i took 100mg oral and parachuting over 7 hours and I have a bit of a tolerance, being prescribed -- this dose made me feel very uncomfortable and over exhausted me by the time I had hit 48 hours awake (not 48 hours since dose). i believe my downfall was taking 25mg IR at once since looking back i dont see why i took the rest of my prescription.
