Drug info - Drugs sold as LSD and tolerance to them

Hi, SWIM is pretty sure that his blotters do not contain LSD but rather something chemically similar according to his friends. However SWIM cannot remember what it was called. SWIM knows that some drugs sold as LSD can only be taken every few days otherwise they will not work properly. SWIM took one tab on last wednesday and then took half a tab on Saturday before going to the casino. He tripped balls on last wednesday but on Saturday the effects were hardly noticeable besides colours and perception being sharper and having dilated pupils, however SWIM has never taken half a tab before so this could be his normal reaction. SWIM was wanting to take two tabs on wednesday to try and have an introspective adventure but was worried that he would be wasting them due to tolerance. I know that nobody can tell me whats in SWIMS blotters but SWIM was wondering what people could tell me about tolerance to drugs often sold as LSD and how long you should normally wait in between doses for it to work well. Even if it is LSD SWIY should wait a good 2 weeks between psychedelic trips, or atleast this is what advice SWIM follows and he has never run into any tolerance problems. The only other chemicals with similar effects to LSD would be a few of the phenethylamines or a tryptamine that will most likely have similar tolerances to LSD.

LSA is very similar to LSD but im sure you would have noticed if it was LSA, it would not have been the same clean trip. I've heard you the tolerence lasts 3 days, you could technically take LSD every 3-4 days, so it could have been LSD.

Other drugs sold as LSD - on a blotter especially - almost invariably means DOx chems, such as DOC. How long did the trip last? The tolerance is pretty similar to LSD, but it is a substituted amphetemine, so more care needs to be taken of your body.

EDIT: When i say similar to LSD I mean 3-4 days technically, but strongly advisable to take AT LEAST a week break, preferably two. The longer the break the better, a month break will mean your experience is more awesome than if you waited a week.

Most widely available RC's are infamous for lasting well into the next day; especially the DOx class. Also in almost all of the popular phenethylamines there is a 2 hour come-up. Are you sure SWIY didn't get LSD?

Either way, generally, with DMT being the only exception that comes to mind, psychedelics build tolerance quickly. Although I'm no neuroscientist, I'd assume that this has something to do with the way that they perform on the serotonin receptors as almost all psychedelics do. Even MDMA and other similar compounds require a break between experiences before a full-throttle mindbender can be had.

A week seems to be a good wait between dosing to get the same effects, but regular dosing weekly may still have one develop a tolerance (or perhaps are just more used to tripping with regular use).. One should at least wait 3-4 days and possibly up their dose a bit when dosing closer together, to reach the same effects. It does seem to SWIM that long periods of abstinence make the trips seem much stronger, so it seems the longer one waits, the more intense the experience, to a point, since dosage, set, and setting, also have a lot to do with this..
