Overdose - Near death?

For the past 4 weeks SWIM has been on MDMA, Ketamine, Marijuana, Cocaine and Alcohol. Not all 5 at once every day, but there have only been about 4 sober days out of the past month. SWIM has also had an extreme lack of sleep and been working Saturday and Sunday with school during the week.

On Friday Swim had a nice mix of Ketamine and MDMA, which gave SWIM an amazing trippy buzz, the room was melting, faces were changing etc. All in all, it was good.

Last night SWIM did just over half a gram of ketamine, had a bit to drink, then popped an 'E' pill. One of SWIMs friends took 2 of these pills and threw up all night. SWIM felt a bit ill, but there was no vomitting.

Wanting the same MDMA/KET buzz as the night before, SWIM decided to snort a few more lines of Ketamine. Within around 20 minutes SWIM was feeling the effects. This time when SWIM tried to walk it felt as though the world was moving on a pivot, making it hard to stand. Evrytthing was VERY distorted; it took SWIM a while to recognize where SWIM was and also realise that SWIM's house was SWIM's own. SWIM was not in reality and nothing seemed normal. Realising that the pill was probably full of bad substances, SWIM decided not to take anymore drugs of any kinda for the rest of the night.

Within another 20 or 30 minutes SWIM's friend noticed a discharge or substance dripping from SWIM's nose, SWIM blew out SWIMs nose gently and loads of this stuff started falling out. Becoming more worried SWIM stopped this as it made SWIM feel worse. within another 20 minutes SWIM could taste a strong, strange acid taste in SWIMs mouth which made SWIM raelise that something was wrong. SWIM could also not control his body completely; SWIMs friend told SWIM what to do and SWIM did it uncontrollably, as if being controlled by the other person.

Back at home, SWIM looked in the mirror to see that SWIM looked terrified and couldn't move much. Everything inside SWIM's hosue seemed a lot larger and very 'cartoony'. THis, SWIM didn't mind, but the feelings inside were becoming worse. Laying down SWIM felt as though chemicals were being released into SWIMs bloodstream; SWIM could feel this happening and some parts of SWIMS body had an icey-numb sensation, somehting SWIM had never felt before. Every breath SWIM took felt like the last as it completely used all of SWIM's energy and made parts of SWIM feel as though they were shutting down. SWIM could still move, but it hurt and didn't feel right. SWIM didn't feel scared or worried that SWIM would die, SWIM felt for sure that this was the end and could feel something working inside and when SWIM thought about death the feelings became a lot worse and made SWIM's mind stop working correctly. When SWIM thought about hearing the voice of God, SWIM felt sa though his mind was rising out of his body, this only stopped when SWIM began to stop thinking about it.

SWIM woke within 3 hours and felt very odd, almost in shock but sort of on a downer at the same time. But still, nothing really felt normal.

SWIM then went to work and had several pains in SWIM's heart, which only lasted a few seconds but kept coming back. SWIM also became very low at points and felt SWIMs head falling towards the floor.

SWIM believes that he only stayed alive by using mind over matter, as the thought abouts being alive made the bad feelings inside go away.

Is it possible that SWIM's brain released DMT or a simliar substance, as if to keep SWIM alive? And was the acid taste and substance from SWIM's nose a discharge of some sort from SWIM's brain?

Any help would be appreciated. SWIM will not be taking any more drugs for a while.

Getting mashed every day will screw things up in your head, I'm afraid. God knows what was in that pill, but from what you described it just sounds like a powerful ketamine experience (you certainly took enough), with a bad comedown from something else. If you stick half a gram up your nose some of it is bound to fall out, have you never seen k-heads with white lines coming out their nose? Your brain won't have released DMT.

I don't think my nose was releasing Ketamine, it was a sort of liquid but didn't feel like snot or anything. I was really only hoping that my brain released DMT to calm myself down a bit into thinking that it was the drug making me feel like I was near death, when actually I wasn't. Either way it definetly felt like my brain released something, I could feel it moving round slowly.

I highly doubt that DMt was released in your brain whilst you were still conscious - there were probably simply some very strong and strange activity in your brain after altering so regularly is such a way. Monkey remembers once near the end of a festival after doing a whole ton of every psychedelic tinkable, he was sitting pretty much sober when he "came round" in this body that was not his, that had gone to a festival with these other people who he no longer knew, and he had to pretend to be like the person he had suddenly inhabited until he hoped it would go away. Very strange - the brain can pull some fucked up things out on you after period of abuse.

SWIM had experiences of feeling like they were dying but it was peaceful, no dying, she knew she would die and it was the end but there was nothing she could do about it.. Scary realy.

swim reckon disconnection from reality was from k but all the bad effects was from pills. similar thing happen to her last saturday. she`s never had bad trip with k. even if she`s in k hole it was all fun, relaxing and peaceful. when she mixed pills and k last saturday she thought that she turned to mental and would never back to normal again. it ruined her lovely k trip. saw her friends and other people like mental patients in the club and scared of everything, felt wierd feelings in her brain like zigzags were crossing while she was chewing her gum. all her muscles and nerves were very hard. when she got home all the sizes of things were different. some of them were larger some of them were scrawled, her hands were tiny. normally she used to enjoy seeing things like that but this time all she could feel was anxiety. not going to mix again

SWIM thinks that those pills had some kind of piperazines in them, search BZP on wikipedia, or even better, look around for it on this forum

SWIM definitely associates vomiting/feeling nauseous with the pipes, as SWIM has experienced them several times before.

The extreme difficulty balancing and the distortion of perception also backs up SWIM's belief that the pills had pipes in them. Pipes often have a disorientating and very edgy effect when SWIM has taken them before. Pipes also tend to be very trippy, with flickering arrows/ribbons e.t.c appearing when SWIM has had them before. Pipes also tend to make SWIM very confused, with racing, muddled & repetitive thought patterns consistent.

SWIM would like to know if SWIY had any difficulty sleeping after taking the pills? Pipes often give SWIM a very hard time getting to sleep, possibly due to the seriously increased heart rate.

Was the stuff described in the nose and the acid taste the drip possibly? SWIM has had some very nasty drips from insufflating K before and it has been just as described by SWIY.

SWIM thinks that the combination of lack of sleep (SWIM has had some very scary experiences with MDMA + K + no sleep for 36hrs e.g. voices, major hallucinations e.t.c), bad pills + K caused a very strange and disturbing night, but SWIM says don't panic! SWIM recommends SWIY could look into finding an ecstasy testing kit (search EZTEST , perfectly legal to sell/buy/possess e.t.c) to see what is in beans as there are many terrible pills going 'round at the moment. SWIM also recommends visiting pillreports website for an excellent user-based database on different pills, to avoid a repeat of the experience.

A few months and a lot more ketamine later...

...swim now realises that the feeling of death was actually brought on by the ketamine, the weird acid taste was just bad drips hanging around and the thick goo was probably just mounds of snot mixed with the drips haha. The weird warm rushes and feelings of chemicals being pushed around the body seem to just be an after effect of a good ketamine use. (This is now a reaaaally nice feeling)

This scared swim at first but after using it a lot more the feeling of death is a good one knowing at the back of swim's mind that it's only the drug taking its effect.

As for sleeping; it wasn't really bad at all, it took swim a little longer though because he thought he was dying haha. However, waking up swim felt more or less fine, a little bit shaken up but nothing bad really. Swim went to work that day and did have a couple of pains in his chest, but thinks this was probably just normal pains and nothing to do with the drugs as swim has experienced these before.

Swim had read into ketamine a bit before taking it, but never read about it making you think you're dying. My advice would be to know this so you don't freak out.

Remember Ketamine use will bring tolerence real fast and doing it alot will at some point mess with normal life.

I think SWIY just had a k-hole. This is where you do the right (right?) amount of Ketamine to a point where your WHOLE body is removed from your brain (can't move) and reality becomes non-existent ... crazy thoughts go through your head like a super vivid dream, you don't have parents or a family and from what you know you don't know when you ever felt sane or what sanity is like.

Personally I believe when you die, that is what happens, you become delirious, as your brain slowly dies, you get all random thoughts and visuals ... and you MAY see God (if you believe) but God is in the brain or contact aliens or something insane.

As for the nose drip ... your nose was probably trying to get rid of it all.

SWIM would of done the E pill first and used the Ket to comedown of the MDMA.

Check out PillReports and/or EcstasyData to see what could of been in SWIYs pill. BZP usually makes SWIM run the toilet to urinate alot, sometimes SWIM feels like he may vomit for a bit ... but best of all about 12 hours later the headache comes in (last time SWIM did BZP he thought he escaped the headache)

SWIM remembers the first time he did a large amount of K (unintentionally snorted a lot more than he realised in the back of a dark car) he was convinced he was going to die. It freaked the shit out of him. At first he was just like woah this is cool as it began to kick in, then he must've been K holing as he was totally unaware of his surroundings. He just felt like he was hurtling to his death.

Maybe it was in part because he was subconsciously listening to his friends who were trying to work out where they were (lost in some country lanes outside of London) and this made his trip an anxiety filled one. Maybe also the physical sensation of moving forward being in the car combined with K-holing was what made him feel like he was hurtling towards death. Whatever it was it was terrifying. He did puke as soon as he began to regain his senses and he had been drinking (although not much) so maybe this was also a factor.

Since then SWIM has K holed a lot more and he is always amazed by how difficult he finds it to tell himself that it is just the K that is making him think these crazy things. SWIM doesn't know how he can tell himself its just the K though because he always seems to forget what he is (as in human) or who he is during that period of K induced confusion. He thinks it is quite revealing that this one occasion he gave K to a girl, who had only done a small amount once before, she blurted out 'What are weeee' in a really shrill voice. At the time SWIM was bewildered but now he can really see where she was coming from..

SWIM often goes on K binges and drool and snot comes out of his mouth and nose when he does 1/4 to 1/2 gram lines. That can be a fun or scary experience, but SWIM is well versed so doesn't ever freak out. But mixed with any number of other things could cause some of the feelings SWIY experienced. Best to slow down and try each thing individually before attempting to mix, that way one can have an idea of what they're getting into.

SWIY really needs to chill out. It's just not enjoyable when you do that much is it? Leave it to 1 or 2 days a week, and you will enjoy it more, will waste less money and will not run the risk of serious health consequences.
