Where can I find a dispenser?

Swim's been looking for a NOS dispenser (not a cracker) but doesn't know which stores to look for. He doesn't want to buy one from an online merchant. Any idea where he could find one?

Check your phonebook/google maps/do a web search for restuarant supplies companies near you, or find a gourmet market nearby.

Large housewares stores may stock them, alternatively look for soda syphons in antique or second hand stores etc. Many soda syphons used cartridges of carbon dioxide the same size and shape as the cartridges nitrous oxide is now sold in.

Monkey tried pretty hard to find a non-online source to no avail, it seems the only place you can get em is online. You could try a big ass warehouse or something of the like, but I somehow doubt it. Its a pretty obscure object to need, for its actual use.

SWIM can testify to the Google Maps search working. That's how he got his. It was some kitchen supplies store, can't remember what it was called...not that he can tell you anyway.
SWIM also bought some whippets with it, and they asked him for his ID and said "kids use this stuff to get high" or something like that. Hah, and SWIM was all like "ohhh, really? jeeez" in a fake, nervous kinda voice. Kind of a rush, lying to that bitch's face. Good times...

Kitchen stores always have the big canister types, sure they are large, but they work well and hold up to abuse. Might also look for "seltzer water makers", same principle.

Head shops usually have these sorts of things too.

What about the very same place you found your charges?

Swim looked around locally but didn't easily find what he was looking for. So swim ordered a dispenser and a case of cartridges over the internet and received them no problem, and fast. Swims vendor however did telephone him first to verify his address and that he was over 18. After the first order no more phone calls though. Some swiys might like the anonynimity of buying locally with cash and not having any boxes to have to explain showing up at their door.

If your going to purchase a canister be sure to locate one that has metal on metal fitting from the turner to the canister. I have a cracker I purchased in 1996 with the same turner it came with. I have 4 others running around that are not and I am always replacing the turners. You tend to misthread them when you are high and it chews them up and they wont crack the chargers. Another tip is to find one with a nice big pin. The little pins will clog with pieces of the chargers and ice and it is a huge pain. The bigger pins dont clog up very often. I wish I had spent the few extra dollars and got a better one last time. ISI makes some nice ones. Trust me there is nothing worse than having chargers and not being able to crack them.

That is the most honest thing i have heard today.

What does SWIsandoz mean by a "turner" are they referring to the large head piece with trigger/nozzle attached or the little tube the charger actually sits in?
What brand is the dispenser that SWIsandoz does own? Snuffkin asks because he has friends with such dispensers that must have been used to crack at least a few thousand caps the majority of which would have been done while high and have survived fine even with plastic to metal cartridge holders.

Yes swim doesn't want to be caught with a non-functional cracker either, so keeps and uses two crackers so as to have one as a shelf spare. Swim has abused, dropped, cross threaded and done other misdeeds to his plastic head dispenser and it has fared ok so well, in the cracking of over 1800 chargers. But swim has obtained a second in case the first is not long for this world.
