DXM is the Safest and most Accessible Drug in the United States
When taken by itself and maybe with a little marijuana, which takes a very close second.
Some may ask why marijuana wouldn't be the safest drug obtainable in the US. My response to them is tar levels in certain strains do an overall greater damage to the lungs than DXM will do to the brain, nervous, or cardiovascular system. Not to mention it isn't sold in stores.
I have yet to find any evidence that DXM causes any sort of brain damage or long-term cognitive impairment that can be entirely isolated to the abuse of DXM. Most people who abuse DXM live in messed up situations and have psychological abnormalities to begin with; drugs never bring out a condition that wasn't there in the first place.
In SWIM's situation, he abuses DXM on a regular basis for an extremely long time. Since before he would have been able to legally post on this forum. This person who isn't me started doing DXM at age 15, and has never stopped. Now SWIM is as old as me, and still does 600-800MG trips every month or so. Long-term use of this drug has not kept me from having a successful career. Just once and awhile when the opportune moment arises, he will trip and 'escape' enough to feel the magic. And it is so easily obtainable at any time from any market.
Over-the-counter DXM products are the safest way to obtain a pure, FDA approved quality drug. There is no stronger drug he can get in the US over the counter legally.
SWIM is not a scholarly educated person in medicine, and would believe there are medical journals that cite some forms of psychological issues, but SWIM believes it is all bullocks. DXM use on its own is harmless when used in moderation.

Why would YOU be open to criticism when nothing said here involved you?
Just to make sure JigglyPuff understands correctly, there's no research here, just WigglyTuff's firsthand experience with the drug? If so, then yeah. WigglyTuff can't really assume their experience is representative of everyone elses. WigglyTuff may just be fortunate. Although I've read actual research with similar findings and some that say it's too soon to tell the effects of long term usage b/c this whole DXM thing is so brand new to the mainstream.
Heck, just the other day JigglyPuff went to buy some DXM pills from a store and they now have these extra tabs on them talking about teens abusing them and on the label it says "FOR ADULTS". JigglyPuff was surprised he wasn't ID'ed being that he looks about 16 to 18 years old even though he'll be 22 next week.
