Animals & Drugs

ATTENTION: THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT ANIMALS USING DRUGS.
If you want to post about that go make a thread elsewhere, probably in pharmacology.

Swim was reminded by Samadhi of an experience he had had with his cat. Swim had two cats at the time and loved them both very much (Swim loves cats). Lilly was more affectionate than the other and would always be in his lap. The other, T-Girl was quite a bit more independent and rarely ever went to anyone for affection. One time Swim was freshly tweaked (Meth) and T-Girl came up and curled up in his lap which was quite a rare event. She shivered and was curled up tight for about five minutes and she left as quickly as she had come and Swim was left stone cold sober.

That experience was phenomenal. Has anyone else experienced phenomenal events with drugs and animals?

Re: Animals & Drugs

Good topic.

One time SWIM was having a mildly uncomfortable trip on mushrooms. He was lying in bed, and his dog who he's pretty close to (dog lovers will understand) was there. I don't think SWIM was sweating or anything, but his dog started licking his arm, which he usually never does. A couple of hours later the dog threw up. I think he was feeling SWIM's negative energy from the trip and threw up because of that. Poor little guy!

Animals can be very tuned in to changes in people's state of consciousness, but I think some are more tuned in than others. This particular dog is very sensitive.

that's damm interesting. lil cat stole your high.

smurfs cats & dogs love drugs each one effects them differently. coke made his dog a cocky asshole, ecstasy chilled them all out & made them cuddly, lazy & chill. lsd made the cat very energised & happy but the dogs got a little strange. nothing as interesting as the story of sweys cat though.

Re: Animals & Drugs

^^I assume you're talking about an indirect effect, i.e., how the animals were reacting when smurf took these drugs? (The way you worded it, it sounds like the animals consumed the drugs themselves.)

Re: Animals & Drugs

SWIM's last trip on 4-ho-met was amazing because of his dogs. He went down to the garden to play with them and he's completely sure that the dogs were able to feel that something weird and fun was happening. SWIM's was amazed by the colourful shine of his boxer's hair, and the fractals in the grass. When jumping, the head seemed too much bigger than the body, like in cartoons.

SWIM felt very close to them

Re: Animals & Drugs

Interesting thread.

SWIM has a cat who really reacts to tripping people... it's almost as if the altered state lets this cat see your soul and inner demons - because if you've got a relatively "clean" past, the cat will be all over you purring and rubbing on you and meowing away. Won't leave you alone.

However, SWIM's had some friends with not so good pasts tripping around the cat (histories of being abused, violence, etc.). The cat will go over to them, puff up real huge, growl a little, and then run off and won't come close. Although she's always watching from some hidden place...

Wonder what they can see... or feel...
