Health - Alcohol and acetaminophen/paracetamol question. WORRIED

SWIM about 2 hours ago drank 2 coolers. Swim is 20 years old.. Swim now just took 1200mgs of acetaminophen, 4 tylenol 1's.. .

Could this put SWIM at risk for liver damage/acetam-alcohol syndrome.?
how much risk do you think SWIM is at? SWIM is worried. thank you.

BTW SWIM took them for his sore throat.

I'm not sure what 2 coolers are, but if swiy means 2 drinks worth of alcohol then swiy shouldn't be at any risk of liver failure. There may be some harm done do to the mixing of alcohol and acetaminophen but this will be insignificant in the long run (just don't do this to frequently).

Alcohol combined with acetaminophen/paracetamol (tylenol) creates a toxic compound when metabolized in the liver known as NAPQI. NAPQI damages the liver & probably the kidneys, but keep in mind that the liver is a hardy organ & can withstand a few black & blues, and will recover & repair itself from such abuse as long as the exposure is brief.

As long as SWIY doesn't make a habit of it they will be fine.
