Oral use - Can your stomach break down uncrushed MDMA crystals?

SWIM gave his friend some MDMA yesterday, and he did not crush the crystals and just wrapped them in rizla and bombed it . He says he did not feel any affects. SWIM is wondering is his friends stomach did not break down all the MDMA. Also he is not on any conflicting medication as far as SWIM knows.

What does swiy mean 'crystals'? Was this in a powder form? What about tolerance in swiys friend? or just amount of the dose.

Yes it was in powder from, but the crystals had not been broken down into powder. SWIM thinks a lot of dealers leave it as crystals after the synthesis because it shows that the product is less likely to have been cut. dose was approximately 125mg. I know it definitely wasn't dud MDMA as SWIM tried it and it worked perfectly fine. SWIM's friend also has no tolerance to almost all drugs - this was his first time trying MDMA.

SWIM just cannot think why it wouldn't have worked, other than the fact SWIM's friend did not crush the crystals in to fine powder.

It would have dissolved in the stomach. Further crushing wouldn't have had any effect.

The first time little fishy tried MDMA he didn't really come up whilst others did, only felt minor effects... he thinks this is because he was really nervous and mentally fighting the thought of not being in control. The next time about a week later on the exact same stuff he not only came up but had the best time of his life. Just a thought...

Surely crushing it up into a fine powder would slightly increase the speed of absorption due to the larger surface area? (Drop a soluble Paracetamol pill into a glass of water, then crush it up and do it again... you'll see what I mean. The pill will fizz around as the outside layer continually dissolves exposing the next layer where as the powder dissolves fairly instantly). I expect the difference would be minimal at best though.

At the start of NYE little fishy and friends did crush theirs up before bombing but 10 hours later they couldn't be bothered and just swallowed whole crystals, too f*cked up by this point to make an accurate judgement on any possible differences though.

I think the effect would be negligible. Most absorption does not occur in the stomach, it occurs in the small intestine. By the time the drug reaches the small intestine it is probably pretty well dissolved. But I agree that you do have a valid point. I wasn't considering rate of absorption, only total amount absorbed.

Your stomach contains some fairly strong acid as well as lot enzymes - it would have dissolved fairly quickly. Probably just other mental or physical factors involved in your friend not getting much from it.

SWIMs done that same thing in the past, it just took longer to kick in/by the time it did, SWIM was already feeling the effects from a little booster he'd had.

SWIM never crushes the chrystals and they work fine. SWIM thinks it is a matter of dosage.

^îndeed the acid in swims stomache is very stroong and will easily dissolve an uncrushed MDMA crystal... why swiy didn't get high is a mystery to swim
