Pharmacology - Synthetic Super Cocaine

I was doing some research about cocaine analogs and found this:


This is not really a reference and could be complete BS, but note the comment about a cocaine analog with 40x the potency, could this be cocaethylene?

Has anyone ever done any work on making cocaine more potent? I know a lot of work has went into making it less potent (psychoactive wise) for medicinal purposes.

I know cocaethylene is more potent, but I'm having trouble finding specifically how much more potent than cocaine it is.

Any help, sources, or comments would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Here's something comparing cocaine and cocaethylene, but interestingly this says that for several effects listed cocaine is the more potent one. However it does say this with regards to potentiation: "During cocaine-alcohol consumption, both cocaine and cocaethylene will cause increases in dopamine availability, resulting in greater dopamine than with either drug alone, causing greater euphoria."
and....
"Cocaine is also a potent activator of the neurotransmitter serotonin, which has an inhibiting effect on dopamine activity. Thus, cocaine stimulates dopamine activity (causing euphoria), but also stimulates serotonin activity (which partially inhibits dopamine activity, thus modifying the euphoric effect). In contrast, cocaethylene is about 40 times less potent than cocaine in stimulating serotonin, thus causing greater euphoria than cocaine."
