Re: Khat (UK)
Khat is indeed still legal in Britain, & is available to buy. Unfortunately discussion of specific sources is not allowed on this forum, either on the forum or through private message. There is I believe a thread discussing the availabiilty of khat . Research on the culture surrounding khat might give a few clues as to where to look as well.

Re: Khat (UK)
The UK ACMD (Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs) considered whether to control Khat in 2005, and their conclusion was that it should remain legal. The then Home Secretary accepted their recommendation, so it is still legal for both sale and use in the UK.
A copy of the ACMD report "Khat (Qat): Assessment of Risk to the Individual and Communities in the UK" is available here: http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/loc...id=154&id=2286 This document contains some pointers to where Khat is used and sold, so is worth a read. |

Re: Khat (UK)
Swim recently found a source for khat and just obtained some seeds, hes hoping to grow it. It can be a very useful plant, its an african plant if thats any help.
Swim got into the habit of when visiting friends on a friday night getting a couple of bunches and chewing then having some alcohol, great effects, was good as an energy booster, also starting in the afternon then going to the pub or something. It can be adictive though, swim has seen some folks adicted to it, but the chewing gets too much after 4-5 hours so for swim its only once a week tops, if hes going crazy maybe twice a week lol The effects can be amphetamine like and sometimes you cant get a sleep but nothing like amphetamine, you usally do get a sleep. But it can wire swim. But hes using it recreationally not for a boost during the day, tho he has done, good for shopping or cleanig the house lol Swim really loves this plant and it can be used quite reguarly, swim cant see himself becoming a khat junkie but some people do get addicted

Re: Khat (UK)
Swim bought a live plant and some seeds a couple of years ago, but Swim hasn't been successful in germinating the seeds so far. Swim wonders if anyone else has managed to germinate it.
