Effects - throat closing

SWIM only took 20mg XR at 8 a.m. and now feels a very strong throat closing sensation. Anyone ever feel this or have a suggestion on what SWIM can take to alleviate this unpleasantness? It's been like this for over two hours, but has not gotten worse. This is not SWIM's first experience with adderall, in fact, SWIM has taken much more on other occasions. Any help is much appreciated.

Sounds like it could be an allergic reaction. Considering it's New Year's Eve, your doctor's office probably won't be open, but may offer his/her personal number in case of psychological emergencies.
I would give the doctor a call, just to be safe. If symptoms get worse, go to the ER.

It may also be dehydration, have you not been drinking enough water?


Whatever it be, I'm sure you're fine. You just need to keep an eye on the symptoms in case of allergic reaction.

Thanks for all the replies - all ended up being fine and I don't think SWIM's reaction had anything to do with adderall at all - SWIM took a new medicine yesterday for her thyroid issues - SWIM totally forgot about this until after posting - so doctor (who i was able to contact via email - ahh technology) had SWIM pop a benadryl and returned SWIM to old thyroid meds.
