What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
I would like to know what cheers SWIM up, if anything, on a comedown.

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
Being with friends who arent annoying, whilst chilling and mabye smoking a spliff. Being left along can sometime make someone very lonely when on a comedown.

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
Yes, these things help a comedown, but do not cheer SWIM up. I must find a mind-set in which to think that actually makes SWIM happy.

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
Well, it's difficult to force happiness. One might not be happy over the course of an entire day regardless of any prior drug use, and they might not even notice. How to get happy? I don't know. Do what makes you happy, exercise and eat well. SWIM notices the serotonin depletion on a comedown but just gets through it. It isn't particularly horrifying or anything, more like a bland state of being that passes within a day. Try not to worry about it too much and don't hit the session too hard. Once you manage this, the comedown won't be as much of an issue.

Yes, I doubt you can be happy now, although you can be content; alot depends on your environment.

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
Well with seratonin depleted it's already a tricky task to get happy. Consider taking 5-HTP to help replenish seratonin , that will hopefully make "getting happy" a bit easier. Then like Natureboy said, do whatever swiy normally does to get happy. Swim also goes for good weed , laziness and solitude.... but everybody has their own preferences. Perhaps meditation and/or exercise may help swiy achieve a better mind set to tackle comedown scenario's.

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
Swim finds 5-htp can take the edge off, as can alcohol and no schedule, fruit juices and some food help as would some vits.
swiy may not feel like going out for a walk but a little of the suns rays in your eyes can aleviate your mood and the fresh air will do you good and at the end of the day you feel you have done something so a pat on the back would be in order. |

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
First, a lot of water, because stimulants in general are extremely dehydrating. SWIM drinks about 2 liters.
Then he forces food down his throat. Usually some fruit and a little protein. Finally he gets smashed. It results in a fairly smooth comedown.

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
100-200 mg 5-HTP every two hours for the whole two days and a beer whenever SWIM feels like it. Plenty of food, usually at dinner or later at night and lots of water/coke. Nice, long shower is also pleasant with a day or two of just kicking it back and doing nothing.
SWIm only smokes at night before he sleeps while he's watching Sopranos/Entourage/etc, so SWIM also smokes weed on his comedowns. He does not smoke all day but everyone else he knows always do that during their roll and the long comedown. |

1) More drugs...
2) Not having to get a train journey halfway across the country in the freezing cold after 31 hours no sleep and 48 hours no food. Felt like death little fishy tells me. |

That is, basically, what a comedown is. A cold train journey halfway across a country with heavy time too think about SWIM's trainwreck of a life.

Another thing that cheers up little fishy during a comedown is those seemingly random conversations you have with friends who are coming down alongside you. Hours of non-stop laughter about the most pointless shit eases any comedown somewhat. |

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
But in coming down, you will, or at least SWIM does, think bad thoughts about the previous night/s, as part of negative feelings. SWIM tends to think that SWIM would not have participated in all the dancing, bullshit conversations and wonderous outlook on life if SWIM was half sober. SWIM gets wasted to do then does these things that he wouldn't have the immagination to do if SWIM was sober. It makes SWIM feel more negative the next day, as do being around SWIM's likewise mopey friends.

Oh yes, add this to my little fishys list also. How in the hell did he forget to add his favourite thing in the world to the list!?
Little fishy would still prefer happyhardcore on a come down but something at the more relaxing calming end, with smooth female vocals. Basically trancecore. |

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
Sleep. Swim finds that this is the only thing that really helps a heavy comedown.
Taking more drugs, valium, Heroin etc. only seem to make the comedown last longer. Sleep and then food are the best remedy for a bad comedown. So my dog once told swim |

Re: What cheers SWIM up on a heavy comedown
1. 6mg of metalonin and a multivitamin with lots of vitamin-c before bed.
2. Sleep until your body feels like waking up. 3. Have no work or obligations the next day (SWIM considers this part of preloading). 4. Spend the next day watching documentaries on the Discovery Channel, preferably about nature or the cosmos and with a calm-sounding narrator. (Discovery's Planet Earth, The Universe, or Carl Sagan's The Cosmos are the shit.) 5. Driving around blasting music always lifts SWIM's spirits. 6. Healthy food, lots of vitamin-C (take another multivitamin when you wake up), no caffeine or alcohol. SWIM generally abstains from drug use for a few days afterwards, but that's mostly for mental clarity, SWIM likes to approach her trips from a psychedelic standpoint and needs a few days to think about them afterwards. SWIM can only speak from personal experience, and acknowledges that drugs affect everyone differently. However, SWIM believes that with proper preloading and a sane dose taken in sane intervals (i.e. 1-2 pills, no more than once a month) there is no reason one should have a terrible comedown. SWIM's bad comedowns were usually the result of a bad environment (she tells me trying to help a very drunk friend who is puking and crying all over himself is extremely distressing to someone so empathetic) and/or leaving homework to be done the next day, which is virtually impossible to get done and will leave her feeling very shitty about herself. |
