Why so light-headed?

SwiPA started recently taking Vyvanse for AD/HD, first time. He takes 60mg a day, which is equal to roughly 25mg Adderall XR, but without the peaks and valleys. It's usually taken with 200-600 mg caffeine since it takes so long to kick in. He notices that about halfway through the 3.5-4.5 hours it takes, lasting for most of the day, smoking weed makes him incredibly faint at the end of the hit/on the exhale. This never happens to him normally when he hangs out with spiderman's girlfriend. I think I stole that from somebody here.

Uh, where was I.

Oh, right. Probably presyncope from the dextroamphetamine's vasoconstriction and the carbon monoxide in the smoke. Even though it seems to be oxygen deprivation, SwiPA is ok with it. It's almost like nitrous; he gets really neat effects from it.

Does this sound like the most likely cause, or is there some sort of well-known synergy of cannabis and speed that makes it far more intense? I don't think chronic* short-lived O2 deprivation is detrimental to one's health in the long term but if anyone knows to the contrary please let us know.

EDIT: SwiPA just had a 'nother couple hits and realized why he likes it so much. I believe SwiPA's getting the same feeling as when he smokes fent and when he inhales nitrous. Those are the only other times he's liable to get lightheaded off the add meds, during which time he holds his breath longer and probably ends up with the O2 dep. Only difference being the carbon dioxide isn't building up beforehand to warn SwiPA.

Wow, look at that ramble. I'll admit, weed does not help SwiPA's AD/HD.

Re: Why so light-headed?

speed and the cardiovascular system are not good bedfellows.
