Xanax and Norco and DOT testing.......
......... Does anyone here know if they test for these on a DOT drug test. I do have a real prescription for both meds from my DR. I just did not know if there was going to be a problem with them showing up. Will they? If they do what happens. Does the MRO just call and ask if I have prescriptions. (I really do) or does he call my DR. I just want to know what to expect.
Thanks for any help in advance guys. me399 added 4 Minutes and 18 Seconds later... Oh yeah, If he does call about how long does that normally take. I tested on DEC. 23 and the clinic said they would overnight it on the 24th, then Christmas. Im sure the lab did not test anything until the 26th. Today is the 29th, I was expecting a call by this wed, the 31st, if at all. Last edited by me399; 30-12-2008 at 01:40. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Re: Xanax and Norco and DOT testing.......
There should be no problem if the medicines are prescribed & the prescription is verifiable. I think it might be wise in this case to let them know that certain chemicals may test positive, & why.

Re: Xanax and Norco and DOT testing.......
I tried to tell the clinic about my prescriptions. I even brought them with me. They would not even let me write them down on the paperwork that I had to fill out for the test. They said they did not need to know anything about any meds. and that if something did show up a M.R.O. would just have to call and verify everything for himself.
I still have not gotten a call from anyone. I cant talk to my union (the people who sent me) until Jan 5th, thats when they get back into the office. I know if anything did show up the MRO has to call me first. I dont know if my levels were so low that nothing showed up, If the MRO is out on Vacation (cant see him being the only one in that office that does this) or there was a problem with the pee sample during shipping and I need to redue the whole thing. I would have thought that I would have heard something by now if I was going to unless the test results are just sitting on the MRO's desk waiting for him to come back from a vacation. It still seems to me that every day that passes with no news is probably good news. I wont really know for sure until the 5th when I call the union to turn in my last paperwork. Once they get that paperwork and have the drug test results I will be put back on the active roster. I guess I will find out for sure then unless I get a call from the MRO on Friday. I really dont know why the clinic would not let me list my meds right up front. This kind of shaddy stuff is what leads me to believe that they dont even really test ever sample that is sent in and thats why they want no mention of prescriptions on any paperwork. If they let me put that down it would force them to test the sample just to verfiy my prescriptions. Without this info they can just toss random samples and pass them without any expense to them at all. I have heard that this does happen allot in the drug testing field. |

Stop stressn about it, if u hav a legit prescription 4 the medication you may or may not have tested positive 4 they can't not hire you based on the drug test results.
