Drug info - Can swim go to work after an acid trip?

Hey! Swim will do some acid on the 31 but he will work on the 1st. He's not worried if he's going to be tired since his job don't require a lot of attention but he's wondering if he's going to go crazy and do some wierd shit after.It's his first trip and will just drop 1 blotter. He will take it at 8pm the 31 and he will work at 1pm the 1st.Thank you!

The general rule of thumb for use of psychedelics (especially for a first-timer) is 1 day to prepare, 1 day to experience, 1 day to recover. It is true that all that should result is a bit of a tired, dreamy state the next day; but worrying about work (having to get up, having responsibilities, other complicated work-related worries) during an experience could turn a good trip bad.

In SWIM's opinion it is feasible to work the day after, but not ideal. Especially if SWIY has a particularly revealing or intense trip; it's nice to have a day or two to work things out and piece the self back together. LSD is a very mentally exhaustive experience, moreso than any of the other psychedelics.

Duration of an LSD trip is 12 - 16 hours. Meaning if you take it at 8 PM, approximate time it will end is 8 AM to 12 PM. So you will not get any sleep at all but the effects of the drugs will be negligible to none. Either way if your work doesn't require a boat load of attention then go for it but you will be tired. Depending on how long you have to work, I would actually recommend taking it later, maybe like 1 AM, then you will be still feel a little bit when you go to work, just enough to keep you wide awake and entertained but not enough for anyone to notice anything

No way, that's a big risk to take. Swim took acid at 11am on a night out, had work training at 9am in the morning the next day. Swim did not get any sleep and at work training kept saying random things and laughing inappropiately, and was also feeling sick and seeing the supervisor as a veiny masked person. Swim said it was scary, even when walking through town at 4pm the next day other people's faces were disfigured.

Unless one gets proper sleep, like 8 hours then they will not be able to recover fully.

SWIM has done it before. He can't say he recommends it but it wasn't absolutely teribble either. He didn't sleep at all the night before and he had a wonderful trip. He still had an afterglow and permanent smile when he went to work so he was Basically in a spot where he was like "Okay this sucks so bad it's ridiculous but since I'm still kinda tripping, I may as well have fun with it!" So he did his best and though it sucked he spent most of the day laughing about how much he screwed himself over by thinking he would be fine to go to work the next day. The feeling was almost indescribable.It was a very "sarcastic/laughing histarically/I'm so stupid/this sucks so bad it's almost kind of fun" approach. If that makes any sense.

Depends on personal experience, dose, and what swiy is doing at work. Swim has known people to drop the night before, not sleep and go to work, just fine. Came home and crashed, lol.

You should be fine. Try to get as much sleep as possible and drink some water.

Swim ended up taking 2c-b instead of Lsd (wich is very the same has reported by other people) .What a night my friends,what a night. Swim's ''past-me'' fought against swim's ''future-me'' in a battle that lasted 2 hours. Swim don't know which one win ,maybe I will know later. he was like a child , it was a very scary trip. But I don't regret it at all.

oh and for the work ,it was really OK. swim wasn't himself but he was able to work. In fact he needed to do some work in the real world after this trip.

thanks for all the advices! swim doesn't think he would do Lsd or 2-cb again, he doesn't feel he need to question himself again, at least for some moments.

when your are tripping the brain is in a similar state as if it was sleeping so SWIM doesn't need the same amount of sleep if they were going to ingest a certain psychedelic substance.

Interesting perspective. Swim has always considered tripping to be very tiring and draining on the mind and body.

SWIM dropped a hit at about eleven p.m. one night and worked at eleven thirthy the next day, he was perfectly fine at work. Different drugs affect different people in different ways.

Ditto, especially with LSD. When SWIM has particularly draining experiences he almost gets that sort of serotonin-wasted "Ecstasy hangover." Low doses generally just give him a wonderful glow for hours after, though.
