Creatine (dietry supplement) with recreational drugs

SWIM plans on taking a course of creatine to aid his fitness training, but hasn't mixed it with any recreational drugs before.

He is pretty sure that it would be fine to take MDMA, Speed, K, on the odd night out while on a creatine course, but would appreciate any input from you guys.

Regarding mdma and speed, swiy needs to make sure to stay hydrated. That's about all I can think of.

Re: Creatine (dietry supplement) with recreational drugs

SWIM has been using creatine on and off throughout their drug years and has never encountered problems. The creatine is metabolized and out of one's system shortly after the workout is over.

The only thing SWIY might want to consider is that creatine and it's metabolite creatinine are excreted by the kidneys, increasing the kidney load. This could be an issue in the context of heavy recreational drug use (especially K!), don't want to overload those kidneys. It's a good idea to cycle off creatine every other month for that reason. SWIY will be fine, at any rate, I'm fairly sure that SWIY aren't planning on taking 5 grams of creatine monohydrate with a couple hits of E and quarter gram rails of K

SWIM thanks you for your replies so far - they have reassured him that there isn't much of concern

Re: Creatine (dietry supplement) with recreational drugs

SWIM used to work out hard. And every couple of weeks go partying.

SWIM used to find a night out on ectasy had a positive effect on body fat level. SWIM would take some E and dance the night away.

Then when SWIM got home, SWIM would drink a couple of those EAS complete protein (the ones with protein, recovery and fiber) with some milk, and then sleep for the next 16 hours of so.

SWIM always thought of it as doing some intense cardio in a poor air quality environment. I always wondered if there were negatives I was overlooking.

Re: Creatine (dietry supplement) with recreational drugs

I read somewhere that continuous use of creatine can cause the muscles to release toxins causing fatigue, and mixing with alcohol can make it much worse?? I wish I could remember exactly what it said and where it was I read it so I could make myself more clear.. can anybody elaborate on this please?
I have been taking creatine for about 12wks now. I stopped drinking and taking other substances for 10wks from new years day and concentrated on my hard weight training and taking creatine. The past 3 maybe 4 weeks, I have partied hard and cut down on the creatine, but not completely stopped taking it, but I've drank enough alcohol to sink a battle ship, and have been feeling completely exhausted through the working week especially with my job being fairly physical too.

Do cocaine and alcohol cause any sort of reaction with creatine?
