Other - Rolling or Rushing?

Bit random, but I hear all these Americans using the term rolling, I assume it's just their equivalent of the uk phrase "rushing"?
Or is rushing just a term from around my area?
To be honest I think rushing is a much better word just cuz' it really gives a sense of the 'rush' you get from pills as opposed to 'rolling'?

Rolling as I understand it covers the whole experience from beginning to end, reflecting the peaks & troughs of the drug as it works it's way through the body & brain. Rushing would mean more the come-up & peak I'd guess.

"Rushing" isnt just ecstasy related.

True, it is generally used for many/any stimulant experiences, but as this is the Ecstacy forum we can assume Ecstacy is being talked about.

Swim is an American says that's about right. "Rolling" would be used to describe the entire experience. "Rushing", or even more commonly back when Swim was using, "blowing up" would be used to describe the come-up and peak on Ecstasy / MDMA.

Red Rock has heard both terms before. Rolling (at least in his part of the USA) refers to being high on MDMA and rushing can mean the same thing but is more used to describe the experience when the MDMA is really starting to hit hard and at the peak of the experience

I have heard rushing being used to describe the whole experience here in the U.K, but SWIM uses it to describe the comeup (usually if accompanied by gurning, confusion etc). Rocking out is SWIM and some of SWIMs associates favourite term, reffering to the rocks themselves.
