CANNABIS LATEST NEWS
Cannabis is in the news, so here at FRANK we wanted to give you the facts behind the headlines. Oh facts is it, cleverly or should I say not so cleverly ran through the spin machine at 60 degrees Last year the government asked the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) to review the classification of cannabis to recommend whether it should stay as a Class C drug or be moved to a Class B. The ACMD’s report confirms that cannabis poses a real threat to the health of those who use it since:
After considering the evidence in this latest report, the government have said that they intend to reclassify cannabis as a Class B drug and are looking to do this by the end of the year. Again no mention of the Advisory Councils decision recomending to keep Cannabis Class C So what does that mean? Currently cannabis is a Class C drug. It’s illegal to have, sell or give away. The maximum penalty of possessing cannabis is 2 years in prison, and the maximum you can get for dealing is 14 years in prison. If and when it becomes a Class B drug, it will still be illegal to have, sell or give away. The maximum penalty for possession for personal use will go up to 5 years in prison and a maximum of 14 years for dealing. “If and when it becomes a Class B drug, it will still be illegal to have, sell or give away.” No S**t Sherlock, This is probably the stupidest statement I’ve heard in living history, it’s like a captain obvoius quote, also the use of “and when” is worrying, sounds those people at FRANK are pretty adamant it will become Class B. Another thing is this repeal of cannabis being Class C only affects users potential time in prison and not that of dealers too, surely the government should be tackling suppliers and not the users. The Government are now talking to the Police about how the law will be enforced and what is likely to happen to people who are caught in possession of cannabis. How about the police treat cannabis users like they did before it became Class C ? We’ll keep you up to date on this and make sure you know when the law changes. I bet the b*st*rds will do, It’s the nearest they will ever get to being high, or an orgasm for that fact. I Urge all DF Users in the UK to sign the petition at http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/KeepItClassC/ A.S.A.P as the new law is set to be brought in at the end of january 2009 if passed. Re: FRANK relishes possible reclassification of Cannabis.
It would be much better if the article were posted alone without comments and then comments added afterwards. The multiple fonts and colors just make it annoying...I'm all for bashing propaganda like the best of us.

Re: FRANK relishes possible reclassification of Cannabis.
SWIM noticed this awhile back - shameful spin doctoring from an organisation that claims to be unbiased. Mind you, SWIM doesn't think anybody looking at FRANK's website could honestly believe they were unbiased. A quick look at the experience reports shows you they're not interested in covering the positive effects of drug use.

Re: FRANK relishes possible reclassification of Cannabis.
Does anyone really expect a government financed site to give fair unbiased information about drugs?
