Need Help with Norco withdrawl!!!

First off Hi,
SWIM has been on vicodin to norco for over 2 years. Recenty had a 2 level spinal fusion, and has been in more pain that one is able to handle. SWIM started taking 5/500 vicodin 4-5 a day (pre surgery)...2 year later swim's taking anywhere from 7-10, 10/325 norco a day. Swim has been at that dose for about 4-5 months.

SWIM's questions are, swim will have no Norco to take for possibly a few days. SWIM has been prescribed Kadian 30mg, Avinzia 90mg, Fentanyl patches, all to try to help manage pain. Nothing works as well as Norco..

SWIM would like to know what would be the best way to minimize withdrawl symptoms? Also have xanax as well.

SWIM really doesn not want to go throught the hell of withdrawls from Norco. What options would be the best to keep withdrawls at a minimum?
Will taking 30mg Kadian help minimize withdrawls symptoms?
ALL input is gladly appreciated.

Re: Need Help with Norco withdrawl!!!

Kadian 30mg is a morphine sulfate drug. It is a time released base medicine.
The fentanyl patches 25mgc/h.
Swim tried the patchs for 3 days, and they were to poten, and swim was not able to carry out any minimal acivities. (barely left the bed) and felt like a zombie.
Swim was going to try to take the kadian untill he can get a hold of swims Dr. Only problem Dr is on vacation for 2 weeks.
Also Swim perscription was written for no more then 6 a day, and swim has needed 8-10 just to get by.
Is it possible that stress can cause physical pain to increase?
Swim suffered from food poisoning 8 months a go and the physical pain in swim's back was of a level thats undescribeable.
Are food posioning symptoms, similair to withdrawl symptoms from Norco??
Swim really hopes not....
Thank You

swim is in a sticky situation
first ACCEPT that swiw's in DEEP

if swim wants a doctor
try suboxen and/or benzo's
swim hears it's good for swim
also tappering is good too

Re: Need Help with Norco withdrawl!!!

Hi SWIU's,

Thanks for the input. Worked out ok. Dr's office was able to call in a script. Kadian helped till SWIM was able to pick up script.
SWIM is going to try to taper down to lower Norco daily intake. Hopefully pain levels won't be bad during this time.
