Drug info - Hyperpyrexia and other complications from long-term ecstasy (pills) use.

My friend of a friend Monkey, has been using ecstasy(pills) since a young age. He made some bad choices and has continued using for the past 2 years, maybe longer.

He has estimated an extreme consumption rate. One that some people are shocked at. Monkey estimated 1250-1500 roughly over a 24 month period. Just recently consuming the most in a 24 hour period, which was 25 (Which has lead him to try to find an alternative to using.).
I did some research for Monkey in regards to his usage, apparently the more MDMA that is taken into the body the quicker the tolerance rate will climb.

E.g. If Billy takes 1 tablet. Every an hour for 3 hours. His rate of tolerance will stay at a variable level.

Where as if Johnny takes 3 tablets at one time his tolerance level will climb alot higher.

Over time that increases tolerance levels to an extreme high.
And unfortunately, I found that article too late for Monkey as he is a bit of a fan of stacking his dumps and eating more at once then spacing them out. Which he now regrets he says.

Monkey has problems with extreme body temperatures. Even whilst not using any drugs or days after use, which causes large amounts of sweating and handling any kind of heat is unbearable at times. Luckily, Monkey doesn't work in the sun!
I researched these symptoms and came up with 'Hyperpyrexia' a condition that has many causes though, second on the list (of causes) is 'Extended or Pro-longed AMPHETAMINE use'.

Now the question Monkey wanted to know is - "Has anyone else encountered this before from any type of amphetamine use? Or is there another possible cause? If so, details would be appreciated".

Now theres a logical answer for Monkeys problem, though he has not been to a doctor. Although, before anyone says anything, I have told Monkey that he needs to a visit a doctor and he said he has already booked a
visit.

Another thing Monkey is worried about is damage to your eyes from pro-longed use of amphetamines. As I read some information about it, apparently damage can be done to eyes. E.g. having trouble seeing objects a distance away and/or seeing strange blurs out of the corner of their eye.

Now Monkey said this was a strange one as it's hard to tell what it was caused by, though was quite interested to find out if this too could be a possibility? As he has has similar conditions from time to time.

Also, I explained to Monkey the addiction properties of ecstasy. And how they effect him etc.

He said he thought he was addicted. And that even there is a possibilty of a psyichal addiction which has been denied by alot of people for years. He says at times where he hasnt consumed for awhile he feels weak and struggles to do things. And that not using for a while can lead to everything being alot more intense. E.g. Seeing, hearing and touching become so much harder to comrehend. etc.

That's all for Monkey for now, he said he is tired. Though he would like to know if anyone has any ideas on any of those symptoms? Or if this is serious? Monkey says its not yet.
