Exclamation Concerning A Lack Of Sleep

Hello. SWIM has taken 150 mg of Vyvanse within the last 14-15 hours and of course hasn't slept a wink. He started at roughly 9:30 PM last night taking 3 30 mg pills. Around 10:00 he took another 30 mg pill making his total dosage 120 mg. He felt that he was getting tired and coming down around 1:30 AM so he took a fifth pill. It is now 12 PM and he is wondering if it would be relatively safe to continue this binge with another 30 mg pill. You see this guy has a few things to do today and if he were to fall asleep now it would really screw him over!!! He did not intend to do this much and stay up this late but it happened. He would like to know how much longer he could continue on like this and if there would be any serious health issues. He is not too familiar with this kind of drug and he just wants to stay safe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Concerning A Lack Of Sleep

Baseyboy never took vyanase, just base, that smelly white paste the brits use, you need about a match-head size for about 8hours buzz, and the other forty coming down, and smoking spliffs.
Baseyboys was always the of 'drop another wrong-un' when he could feel the comedown of the last bomb.
This was doubly crap, because he thought it was good, but it was just the whizz fooling him, and he got psychosis, and depression.

This post is starting to sound like a lecture, Baseyboy.
Sorry, no lecture intended.
Baseyboy says, bottom line, eat first, it will pick you up, and get you high, you may not even need a redose. Baseyboy often didnt bother with the last bomb, as once a meal had been eaten, he seemed to be flying a little.
vitamins and tyrosine.
Comedowns worst emenys are 1.sleep 2. Food 3. vitamins

Re: Concerning A Lack Of Sleep

Thanks, that explains just about everything SWIM needed to know. He is very grateful. Also SWIM took another 60 mg of Vyvanse at 5:30 PM today and he is feeling very good right now, and ready to sleep for a long time!!!

Re: Concerning A Lack Of Sleep

As betsym says, be aware of getting into the cycle of taking stimulants to get motivated and stay awake and then following these with sedatives to sleep, its a very easy way to get into a destructive cycle.

SWIM will keep that in mind and avoid it at all costs.

Re: Concerning A Lack Of Sleep

Yes, I agree with what you're saying 100%. Binging is not something that SWIM plans to do again if he can help it, and what he did was not intended to escalate the way it did when he started out. He was planning to take 4 pills that night and stop there. He panicked when he found out he had things to do the next day however! He took another 90 mg I believe and went to sleep the following day around 2-4 AM. The total amount of time he spent awake was around 40 or so hours, and he only ate twice during this period. During the last few hours before he slept he found it extremely difficult to show any emotion what so ever and acted more or less like a zombie. He took his blood pressure and was surprised to find that it had increased a considerable amount from the usual results. He knew it would be higher but it shocked him to find that he was in the 'Hypertension' stage, (as defined by Wal-Mart's blood pressure machine). SWIM can always count on his blood pressure being not much higher than 120/80, but when taken that night it was 158/89, a new record for SWIM!!! He has yet to check to see if his blood pressure has returned to it's normal state. He hopes he hasn't pushed himself too far. Any feedback you would be able to give regarding to permanent damage that may have been done to him would be appreciated. The last thing SWIM is out to do is harm himself in any way. He believes strongly in self-control and moderation in dealing with any type of drug, and likes to weigh all of the risks/negative side-effects very carefully before doing anything. Any additional tips, information, warnings, or wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Concerning A Lack Of Sleep

Glad to see SWIy is alright.

A binge like that won't really hurt a healthy person unless they do it often. The question is: did the binge help SWIy accomplish anything? There have been times where SWIM has done an Adderall binge to help study for an exam, then all he ends up doing is spending the whole night cleaning and listening to music!

But yea, SWIy should be fine. Just try not to make a habit of it.

Re: Concerning A Lack Of Sleep

Yeah. SWIM managed to stay awake the rest of the day and then some. He accomplished everything that he had to even though he was pretty out of it. He said some really stupid things that made no sense and found it hard to carry on any type of conversation without making an ass of himself!

SWIM didn't have raised blood pressure from being panicked or scared though. He asked me to post his questions just because he wanted to make sure that he wasn't doing anything too destructive. He never found himself being overly nervous however. He just likes to plan things out so there's a very small percentage of risk.

dark12 in response to your question of whether SWIM accomplished anything the answer is absolutely not. SWIM sat on his computer for countless hours making a list of his favorite songs which currently contains somewhere around 800 entries. He also played Starcraft Broodwar for 5 hours straight and owned everyone!!!! Mwahahaha!

betsym about your friend(s) that were put on blood pressure medication due to methamphetamine use; Can this happen with amphetamines? I know that methamphetamine is much stronger and much more dangerous and SWIM has never touched it and doesn't intend to. How similar is methamphetamine to amphetamine?

Also I know that methamphetamine is extremely addicting. SWIM has never felt a physical or mental need to take his medication even though he has used Aderall and Vyvanse recreationally plenty of times. SWIM highly doubts that he can become addicted to amphetamines even if he were to abuse them excessively. He knows it's very foolish to feel cocky or in control regarding any type of drug but he can't help but feel that this particular drug has no power over him what so ever.

I appreciate all the responses. Everyone that replied had extremely helpful information. This forum is the best thing to happen to me since LeBron James started playing for the Cavs! I gave all of you reputation for your posts. Thank you!
