Injecting - IVing Opana

SWIM is prescribed Opana ER 10 mg twice a day and Opana IR 10 mg once a day. He usually just snorts both of them and acheives a moderate amount of pain relief. SWIM knows the ER is brand name and he's pretty sure the IR is too. He also knows that it is impossible to IV the ER pills but wants to know if it is possible to IV the IR ones. Thanks in advance for any reponses

u can iv either of the pills... ER pills generally are more complex and have more complex binders, but instant release vs IR pills, same mg will have the same amount of binders and fillers as each other... people only ask this question now cos of the oxy situation. ir pills wont need heat, and ER will if u dont crush them, but for this, i would recommend a proper pill wheel filter, as cotton etc wont fully filter out all the tiny particles.

so to sum it up, u can IV either, swim has and does, opana and ocs

The ER's gell up as soon as they hit water. How do you IV them?

drop the cotton ball into the gell, the hotter u make it the worse it will gell up,keep that in mind.

it is. But you have to consider what makes it gel up. I'm not really sure about it, but my hypothesis would be that within the gel, the sweet stuff is kind of locked in, and the cotton would trap gel particles, leaving a liquid of a much lower viscosity to enter the needle. Now of course this isn't flawless. Some gel could get in the gear, but I guess you could repeat the process on a different spoon, and new cottonball until it's clean enough, since it probably won't get to be pure.
