Combinations - Taking coke while on Lansoprazole

Dear SWIMERS,

SWIM wants to let his hair down over the festive season. He is taking Lansoprazole for some gastro problems mainly stomach cramps. Anyway, SWIM wants to know whether it is safe to take coke while on Lansoprazole prescription?

Shouldnt be a problem, as far as Im aware there is no interaction between lansoprazole and cocaine.

Lansoprazole is a Protein pump inhibitor affecting stomach acid and the such but has no systemic effect so shouldnt interfere with the cocaine use or make it any less or more dangerous.

There should be no problem. Lansoprazole is not a psychoactive drug, so potential interactions are limited from the start.

The only thing that may be of mild concern is Lansoprazole's tendency to dehydrate; combined with cocaine (which is also a dehydrator), there would definitely be an increase of this side-effect.

SWIY will be fine, just make sure he has some water around.
