Keep festive spirit in moderation

Scotland's chief medical officer has urged partygoers not to drink too much over the Christmas period.

Dr Harry Burns said people risked their own safety and that of others by drinking excessively.
Offering his annual tips on staying healthy over the holidays, Dr Burns also suggested people should check on elderly neighbours living on their own.
He said the festive period could be a particularly difficult and lonely time of year.
Dr Burns said that while Christmas was a time to relax and celebrate, it was important to look after our health.
"While many of us will be enjoying a drink or two, it's very important not to overdo it with alcohol consumption," he said.
"Not only could you end up nursing a hangover, you could also find yourself in a dangerous situation and that could mean a trip to A&E."
He added: "For some people the Christmas and New Year period can be particularly hard.
"We can keep an eye out for people such as elderly neighbours who may be all alone over the festive period and might really appreciate the company."
