Combinations - Combining Opiates and Marijuana

SWIM took up to 120mgs of Roxycontin(oxycodone) instant release tablets. SWIM smokes strong hashish on a regular basis. Now SWIM always notices a strange feeling after smoking hashish with high levels of opiates running through the system, its a feeling of almost discomfort and aggitation. Very cloudy vision almost and increased heart rate usually. Feels almost as if SWIM has taken a suboxone or something, SWIM finds marijuana to cause some strange feelings when using high doses. Does anyone else experience anything similar to these feelings? it could just be me.

You did a good job using SWIM at the begining but that's still incriminating yourself.
About the hash/opioid combo swim has never tried it but just suggests that you stop combining them.

AFOAF reports that it made him feel very ill and hungry at the same time, not pleasant for a good half hour. This was with high (400mg) dose codeine and good, homgrown strong maple leaf indica. It was also reported that its nice when the opiate effect is wearing off though...

swim always smokes a blunt of the highest grade around after swim snoots 80mgs of oxycontin swim notices a huge difference and from now on swim has always smoked with oc it seems smokin a blunt got swim feelin better than smokin out of swims bong or pipe because the tobacco has a effect also with opiates

SWIM actually feels that weaker opioids like codeine go extremely well with cannabis.. The cannabis seems to synergise quite well with the opioid effects, takes it to a different level than what is achievable with codeine alone. And cannabis helps with the opioid nausea too.
Moderation is key though, swim would take a good dose of codeine, whatever swiy's tolerance comfortably allows and a moderate dose of weed, a bit less than swiy would normally use.

KaLiShNiKoF, it sounds like swiy likely has somewhat of a tolerance to opiates, given the high dose of oxycodone. In swim's experience (and it is generally accepted) that opiates, especially high-potency ones, generate behavioral aggravation towards the tail end of their effects as a side-effect. Things that normally wouldn't bother a user seem to become thorns.

On a general level when a tolerance has been developed, a desensitization of the hedonic qualities of such opiates occurs while a sensitization to the unpleasant side-effects tends to occur. Thus doses increase. Swim doubts that the hash contributed much to the agitation, though with a generous tolerance to opiates, it may have amplified swiy's sensitivity to the side-effects of opiates.
