Drug info - How To Get More Than 30mg A Day??

Hi, I wanted to know if there's an effective way for "someone that i know" to get more than 30 mg per day (adderall)???? My doctor said 30 is the most one can get per day, but is this true? My doctor said he wasn't sure, but that was his understanding.

There are limits to how much doctors are legally allowed to prescribe controlled substances. In the case of adderall (dextroamphetamine) that is 30mg/day.

why would swiy need more than 30mg a day?
30mg alone is quite substantial for swim. However, should swiy really be looking for something more, potentiate that 30mg with baking soda or coffee (personally swim loves coffee while speeding, every sip in the morning gives him the giddiness of a massive bong rip... He doesn't know why). There's a thread around here for potentiating amphetamine that which goes into great detail.

Swim also feels that above 30mg a day is unnecesary.

But it is untrue that 30mg is the maximum amount allowed to be perscribed. Swim has heard of people getting perscribed above 90mg a day, a simple google search will show this.

Too be honest Swim doesnt know how one would go about getting this, but Swim assumes it would require a very incompetent doctor...

In the case that your ADD/ADHD prescription is no longer working to help you maintain your focus, you may suggest to your doctor that you'd like to try another medication. It's all about tolerance. Your body will naturally build tolerance to the effects of foreign substances, requiring higher doses and eventually a change in medications.

I'm not sure what you're on now but there's a world of options: Adderall (dextroamphetamine, dextro/levo-amphetamine), Vyvanse (lisdexamphetamine), Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine), Ritalin/Concerta (methylphenidate), Desoxyn (dextromethamphetamine), etc.

swim gets 2 30mg's a day and a also if he needs it a 10mg. that weird. swim should just tell swims doc thaat he needs more focus in the afternoon and adderall xr makes swim feel like shit.

The assumption that 30mg is enough for anyone is bogus. The original poster didn't give enough information to come to any conclusion of dosage need. What if his friend were to have been on 30mg/day for two years? Surely he would have built a substantial tolerance even if taken strictly as prescribed.

Anyway, it certainly is possible to get more than 30mg/day of Adderall prescribed. Generally, it is only prescribed to people with sleep disorders, but many doctors find it in their patients best interest to prescribe more than 30mg.

Also, SWIM has found a couple interesting loopholes with some other amphetamine class drugs. For example, Adderall(mixed amphetamine salts) is about 60% as potent as Dexedrine(dextroamphetamine); yet the maximum daily dosage of Dexedrine for ADHD is 40mg/day. This is equivalent to over 65mg of Adderall!

If SWIy really does need more than 30mg/day of Adderall, then he can try to get a prescription for Dexedrine instead. A good way to do this is to say the side effects of Adderall are becoming bothersome and the composition of Dexedrine makes it more appealing for long term treatment.

Red Rock used to be on a total of 70mg of Adderall a day. The doc prescribed him a 30mg XR in the AM, another 30mg XR in the afternoon and a 10mg IR in the early evening. So it certainly is possible to be prescribed more than 30mg of Adderall a day

That's not true. In the US, controlled substances can be prescribed in much higher doses than FDA approved for treatment of ADD/ADHD or narcolepsy.
It's just considered as "off label" prescribing.
SWIM was prescribed 30mg Adderall XR x1 per day and 30mg Adderall IR x1 per day for ADD legally.

Sorry, SWIM means that he was prescribed 60mg Adderall total per day.

A friend of mine currently gets 60mg per day, tho he has been taking since he was a child so his tolerance level is high.

It's very possible to get over 30mg a day, but generally it's for adult patients that have been scripted adderall for years, but that's not always the case. SWIM knew some kid that was scripted 50 mg a day when he was in middle school.

Swim was just rx'ed 120mg daily of ir generic addy, swim just told doc that 30mg wasn't doing shit for swim's adhd, doc was receptive to swim calmly explaining that 4 doses 30mg ir would be more realistic. The doc and swim have a relationship built on trust, and he knows swim wouldn't shine him.

Hey dud swim suceeded in getting his dose upped by saying that his lowerdose left him feeling shifty before he was done with school for the day. He said this many times and got his dose upped about 4 times over the course of a few years

Funny thing is swim can take 60mg addy ir, feel some increased focus, sit down and eat a full meal, and 2 hours later take a 30minute to hourlong nap in the middle of the day when not in school. Swim was only rx'ed addy about 2 months ago, never done amps before in life. However, swim in the past had a nasty coke habit, snort and smoke, which almost ruined swim's life. Which is how swim believes his tolerance somehow originated. That's all behind swim now, as the very thought of cocaine makes swim's skin crawl!
