Vaporizers - Is smell still noticable after vaping?

Hey guys! When inhaling mary jane through a vaporizer, is there still a noticable smell like when smoking it?

Let's say hypothetically that swims friends are anti-drug. And swim wants to hang with these people high without offending them. Could he vape and then hang high unnoticed, even while being in close quarters with these people?

Swims says it seems to him like it'd be unnoticable, but his sense of smell is very weak. He can't even smell it when someone uses a bong.

the smell is noticable but barely & it dissipates within 5-20 minutes, just open a windo...the smell doesnt really even smell like cannabis after the first few hits, its more like burnt wood or sumthing of the likes

swim just burns insence at the same time and he has been doin it 4 about a year and his mum & dad still havent said anything

SWIM found the smell to be quite potent at times, like smelling a fresh bag of buds, but as already mentioned it does not hang around too long.
However for SWIM not having smoke or a smell of smoke about was alot more important and a vaporizer when used right makes no smoke!

swim always thought vaporizing gave an almost tea-like flavor (well, in his opinion, at least). there is certainly some marijuana smell to it, but generally not as bad as straight up smoking. if swiy is worried about odor, he should brush his teeth and/or chew gum after smoking/vaporizing. a hint of cologne (or perfume for the ladies) can help mask any subtle odors quite well.

swim was recently busted by the campus cops for vaping in his room. the RA's smelt what they thought to be marijuana and needed 5 people including a campus cop to verify this. so even though it might not smell like pot, you should still be careful about vaping if you are in a situation like his. (living in a school dorm). because the authorities WILL search because of the smell, even if its not distinctly pot.

SWIM also thinks it depends on what kind of weed you are smoking. Some crappy mexican dirt weed isn't going to stink up a room quite like some organic fresh hydro with pretty crystals, that reeks in a closed baggie!
SWIM has smoked the vape w/the reeky stuff in front of a non-smoker and the friend was about 10' away and said she could barely smell it.

When SWIM vapes, like stated previously, if he takes more then a few hits it starts smelling like an unfamiliar smell. Well not really unfamiliar, but nothing hes ever smelled.

It does smell, but its more contained in a bong (no smell will escape except for what you inhale) so just breath clean out a window and its absolutely fine... tis partly why swim got a vape!

swim's pal usually adds a drop of some kind of flavoring (tasty puffs) and then vapes the smell is not noticeable at all after vaping at least in swim's case.

swim vape all the time. There are non-smokers in swey house that know what the smell of cannabis is. When my brother comes over who does not approve of vaping/smoking or whatever type of way you use marijuana. He does not know. swim can vape in the bedroom and he can be in the kitchen and he has no clue.

Swim would find it hard to believe an RA can smell vape. Open the window and light a candle and I bet if you vaped in the same room as someone and told them it was an asthmatic med they would believe you. It is not noticeable at all.

First, it depends on how good SWIY's vaporizer is. If SWIY has a very good volcano, it may smell like burnt popcorn and nothing like weed. Just turn on the fan. If SWIY has like a homemade vaporizer such as a lightbulb, SWIY may want to turn on the fan and spray some Ozium/Febreeze.

A sploof (dryer sheets in a bottle with holes in the bottom) always seems to work well.

SWIY should look for some amigos he can smoke with. In SWIM's opinion smoking weed is much more enjoyable with like minded people.
