Caffeine and Poppies
SWIM was just wondering whether caffeine reduces the effect of poppy tea/poppy grounds? He's talking specifically about tea rather than coffee, as he seldom drinks the latter.
Thing is, he loves his tea, in all its varieties, but since developing a poppy pod habit, has felt the need to cut back on his tea drinking. He now only drinks tea in the morning, before he takes his daily dose of poppies and avoids drinking it after that, for fear of the caffeine content reducing the effects of the opiates. Is this a bit extreme, or will caffeine effect the opiates? He would love to have a cuppa or 2 after he's taken his dose, but feels that he must abstain. |
