Smoking - Uk swimmer smokers- 'harsh' heroin

Recently swim has been buying a type of heroin which while being pretty strong, can be really f**king harsh on the throat.
Compared to what else is going around at the moment, this stuff is the best by far, the quality really is pretty good, so swim doesn't want to change.
The first line runs quite dirty, but after that it's not too bad, (although swim wouldn't want to shoot it ideally), just really harsh.

However as swim smokes alot, he's curious as to whether any of you swimmers know of any ways of reducing the harshness of the vapour.
Also, are there any known adulterants which are used to bash gear that have this effect? -This isn't the first time swim's encountered pretty harsh gear.

SWIM had some gear about three weeks ago that stung her throat so bad she didn't really enjoy the smoke even though as SWIY says, the strength was pretty good. SWIM was worried what might be in it and wouldn't dig it though friends said it was OK. SWIM got some gear just as strong but gentler on the throat thank god, she still has a bag of the "harsh" stuff left and thinks it will be there until she has no option but to use it, it's just that SWIM likes to ENJOY her gear.
SWIM would be very interested to know what makes it so harsh too.

I am inDublin and i think I know the gear you are talking about. Sayin that I have had 2 types of gear in the last 6 weeks that have been quite similar in properties but look different in that 1 was more yellow looking.

This gear runs quite dark on the foil and is a little more smokey than usual, but it is a nice smoke. It runs clear and free, but not as amber at first as others might be.

Say, I like how you put your question in bold and such, it makes it very easy to reply to, although fascinatingly, others seem to ignore it and go for the random-comment-to-increase-post-count routine. Anyways, I have a few ideas. I have heard of mixing heroin with a bit o' butter for the purpose of making it run better/last longer on the foil, and it's possible this could reduce the harshness. If one used a longer and if possible a metal "duper" (the thing you use to suck up the smoke with) it could cool the smoke down and make it less harsh. One who isn't thee could also try holding some water in your mouth whilst swiy sucked up the smoke, ala bong action. Ah, also, one should "bake" both sides of the foil lightly with a lighter to get any harsh coatings off.
Smoking technique can help a lot as well, if a lizard were to take a few small hits prior to a big hit, the reptile's throat would get a lot more used to it then if he were to try and take a big rip all at first.

maybe use a bigger foil tube, with dents in it, when swim smoked all of us made tubes with dips in it, mainly to collect more residue in the tube,,,,,,swim knows that the further weed smoke travels the less harsh it is, or u could put a damp bit of cloth(thin cotten) in the tube, but that will filter a bit of the gear.

if swiy have any knowledge of chemistry, swiy could try refining it. Then swiy'd be left with purish gear.
