VERO BEACH, FL (AP) -- A McDonald's cashier called 911 after a Vero Beach drive-thru customer allegedly offered to pay for his meal with marijuana.

The Indian River County Sheriff's Office said the cashier called Monday with a description of the vehicle the suspect had been riding in.

A deputy spotted the vehicle, found marijuana in the car and arrested its occupant, 27-year-old Shawn Alexander Pannullo.

Pannullo was charged with possession of cannabis and posted $500 bail. It was unclear if he had an attorney.

A Sheriff's report did not say what the suspect ordered at McDonald's or if he ultimately purchased the meal using something other than marijuana.

What an uptight cashier, calling 911 over someone harmlesly offering weed instead of cash. I can just hear the 911 operator now "-911 whats your emergency?-Some guy just offered me marijuana as payment for food!" What a waste of my tax paying money.

What? Thats stupid for more than one reason. Stupid thing to do from mister Pannullo, and stupid that the cashier reported him. I would have been so happy to offered cannabis out of the blue, it would have a been a win-win drive-thru.

I have a personal experience with dumbfuck fast food workers. I was at a girlfriend's house with another one of our friends, so her dad had gone out for a few drinks and had left us to watch the kids. He had said he'd b gone only an hour or so, and we were fine with it. we put the kids to bed and all was good, and we had been drinking too so when her dad called home saying he was stopping for tacos down the street, and would b home in 5-10 minutes, so we were all happily waiting on his arrival. But 20 minutes went by, then an hour, so we figured he stayed at the bar later. no big deal. me and one friend falls asleep while the other waits up for her dad, but by the time 5:30 am comes around she wakes me up to go look for him. the bar wasn't far and we drove past, but obviously it was closed a few hours ago, and his truck wasn't in the lot. so we continue searching parking lots and looking around for her dad but he was no where to b found even though he had just said he was on his way. I was hesitant to say it but i told her he could have possible been pulled over and arrested, she doesn't think so but finally after searching awhile longer we 411(information) the local jail and ask if her dad had been brought in within the last few hours. So finally after our wild goose chase lasting a good few hours we were somewhat relieved to find out he had been arrested for driving under the influence and they would call an hour b4 his release.

after his release he told us what really happened because we were completely clueless to what went down. he said how he had stopped at taco bell to buy us all food, and in the drive thru of course, was paying with credit card, but unknowingly handing the cashier his black home depot discount card, in mistake for his black visa. he had parked in the parking lot to eat his food b4 continuing home, when (not by coincidence) a police officer knocks on his window and informs him he needs to perform field sobriety tests. which inevitably landed his ass in jail. (California law states if both of the intoxicated drivers feet are in the vehicle and the keys are in the ignition it is counted as DUI)


The drive thru cashier had called police informing them of the possible drunk driver. Now thats a jerk.

Drive-thru clerk aside this as has been stated before was pretty stupid of the guy.

Swim has another story not to hijack this thread or anything but he saw a clip on court TV of a man trying to bet in weed at a casino in vegas the dealer tried to be reasonable and let the guy go but he was so fucked up he just kept putting more on the table until he was escorted out by security.
