Hasty extraction or natural tolerance?
Hello everyone, SWIM has been lurking on this site for sometime and doing much research on Salvia Divinorum. After much contemplation SWIM decided to go to a local smoke shop and buy 15g of dried leaf (normal strength). After smoking about 5-6 bowls SWIM felt nothing. SWIM uses a short tobacco pipe about 5 inches long and a blue jet lighter (as recommended). Not wanting to dish out the extra money or waste the leaves SWIM decided to try a simple extraction method discussed on these boards which encompassed washing the leaves 3 times with acetone in a 15 minute period, then pouring the acetone/salvinorin mix over a couple grams of leaves and letting it dry. SWIM let it dry and it took about 24 hours (cool, dark, breezy place) and all the Acetone was gone, but the leaves where still slightly damp. SWIM decided to go ahead and light-up and see if anything happened, but 2 bowls later SWIM felt nothing.
SWIM guesses that its one of these problems:
1. SWIM has a natural tolerance to Salvinorin.
2. SWIM hasn't let the leaves dry yet.
3. SWIM didn't do a good enough extraction method.
4. SWIM didn't hold the smoke in long enough (15-20 seconds), because SWIM doesn't smoke.
What does SWIY think?
