steroids and the british army

swim is currently unemployed and finding it difficult to get a career so he was wondering with steroids not actually being illegal (to swim knowledge) what stance the british army had on steroid users in the force.

swim would feel the need to a certain degree to use steroids to help me training or at least kick start it as hes not the fittest swimmer around the pond.

any help or ideas appreciated

cheers

Re: steroids and the british army

Think steroids are a class c in the UK, but not sure.
And they aren't going to help you even if steroids were accepted.. (think its a big NO NO)

Swim wouldn't take steroids unless its for medical reasons, he has seen people on them. Not nice.

And do you really want to join the army now ? Its brave or suicide on pay off.
Not getting paid a lot, low pay out when you step on a mine and survive. Mental after effect (PTSS)

If you were going in to the private security firms then, yes at least they pay a lot ! Still dangerous but better then the army lots of people now join the army do there training SAS or SBS would be the best, then join a private security firm and getting xxx amounts a day.

Re: steroids and the british army

cheers for the reply, well the main reason i feel the need to go in the forces is simple there is a shortage of jobs n i am finding it nion impossible to get a job let alone a career. i recently finished college n got qualified as a joiner but still to no avail.

So if i join i would be able to get my driving licence hopefully study for a degree in civil engineering while serving my time which just isnt possible in civvy street.

if fully understand your concern and its appreciated but i am a dad now n its the only way i can see for providing a comfortable life for my son if a stay out here soon enough il end up in jail.

thanks for the suggestion of the private security firms il look in to it.

Re: steroids and the british army

Forget about the security firms. You need experience, preferably in a highly specialised and trained branch of the military.

Do you have any options as a guard or nightwatchman? It's likely that you'll need a clean slate though.

The army'll take you. It's a good way to straighten out if you're already in trouble anyway.
