Curing Bud! Makin better budda

I read somewhere that if i stick a dime bag (with bud in it) and like stick it in like a prescription bottle then burry in the depts of my closet (Dark area) the weed will get better. Is this true and if so how long does it take? Edited by: Igo4dolo

I'd like to have a "magic closet" where I put my weed.
Put in some skank commercial for a while and then, when I finally open the closet door, out pops killer hydro or haze.Edited by: searcher

Actually curing your weed will help it to taste better, i've heard people say that it will also increase potency as well (dont know if i believe that tho). All you have to do is put it in a jar or whatever that is sealed andopen it once a day and allow some fresh air around it. Some of the compounds will break down and the weed will become less harsh. go and read the grow guide on www.hempcultivation.com and look at the 'curing' section, it explains it a lot better there.

if you were growing your own, there would be a correct way to "cure" the stuff, but what is usually procurred is already dried and cured from the supplier. I don't think theres any way you'll be able to make that any better.

are you talking like curing bud that is packaged and dried already or
home grown. If its already dry, then you cant really cure
it. If its a plant, then just right after you harvest, hang the
buds in a ventilated area, the rule of thumb is usually the longer you
let them cure before you dry them completely, the better the taste and
potency. Oh and make sure the room is pretty clean, spray some
lysol around to insure no mold. Some even add fruit concentrate
to add a cool taste. There are lots of sites showing you how to
do this correctly. On your music sharing software, just type in
marijuana or marijuana grow bible or something when searching for
documents. Should find something good. Hope this helps.

If you dry bud improperly or using an oven or something, some of the
potency is lost and the taste isnt as good. Kinda like with
shrooms, if you pop them in a heated place to dry them, you lose
potency. Its not really increasing potency, more of preserving
potency from the wet weed. You can tell when you get a sack of
cured bud, lots of crystals, rich green, you know. Most weed that
is bought isnt cured too much because the grower usually worries about
speed and profit more than potency. Not always the case but
usually.
