Smoking - Problem about baking soda

Hi guys swim have a question about smoking Ritalin.
Every one in this forum just mentions some thing like baking soda.
Can any one tell what it is (exact chemical name)

and can swim use some thing else?
in that thread some one mentioned NaOH and ammonia chloride but said they are danger.
any other chemical that swim can use?

and I found out that baking soda is sodium bicarbonate.
