How To: find a source in unfamiliar territory

I know this general question has come up before, but I've yet to see this one, maybe because of my green status on these boards : SWIM builds a rep of "being seen dosing, etc." at the local methadone clinic. They then approach a somewhat familiar face (or are approached *usually for a "spare" cigarette* by same) and strike up a casual conversation. Said conversation can be "manipulated" (carefully and sensably) into finding out if acquaintance can score. Then, SWIM would say something along the lines of "SMIM is having a REALLY hard time hooking up. Then go from there, BUT: waterlogged one must make it worth the other's while. SWIM has found that sending an "extra" $20 bill(or whatever amt.) torn in half w/ person with the incentive of "come back with what one paid for, and you will get this other half." * Just make sure to keep the LARGER of the two!!!* If SWIM ever gets the opportunity to visit the "right" side of the States, this is a method that will (hopefully) work to get some of the "real thing" (read:WHITE) in puddlejumper's grubby paws.
