Does Methadone effect blood flow?

SWIM uses methadone as a recreational drug sometimes and notices the next morning his hand or entire arm will have fallen asleep. sometimes at night they will fall asleep with very little pressure on them, like putting his hand under the pillow or laying on his side. what does methadone do to blood that causes this?

Re: Does Methadone effect blood flow?

So many people comment on what I consider to be fairly trivial side effects. Another guy commented on heart thumping in his ears, another on talking in his sleep. LOL. These are ALL things that happen to me and I'm on no medications. My arm frequently falls asleep, I get this all the time.

I think its to do with putting pressure on a nerve, compressing a nerve, and not to do with blood flow. But I could be wrong.

Re: Does Methadone effect blood flow?

Yeah, I agree with cybergenesis. It's probably just things that happen to you anyways and you're just paying more attention to it because you're trying to determine what side effects the drug has on you.

Another explanation might be that when you're numb from the methadone you don't notice that your arm is in a bad position and you leave it that way...

does swiy iv the methadone and not filter it if its the pill version? blood clots or collapsed veins could be an issue causing this problem
