Pharmacology - Difficulty getting my script.?

Long story, SWIM was on benzos for a long time, now SWIM is currently on 1mg of alprazolam and 1 mg of lorazepam for bed, but SWIM gets the lorazepam from mom. anyway, i used to get a script of 60 1mg Xanax(alprazolam) from my physician. which SWIM also used to receive at the same time monthly from my psychiatrist 90 0.5Xanax(alprazolam). now, SWIMS believe my doctors have come into contact, and now SWIMS only getting them from my physician, 1mg's. SWIM no longer needs to see his psychiatrist.(obvious reason) now, how can SWIM get an increase in dosage, SWIM feels massive rebound anxiety, intense feelings of hot and cold along with heart palpitations. anyone? help.. Maybe advise SWIM on getting 2mg script...?

i know this is not what u want to hear but instead of trying to find a way to increase ur dose u should honestly be doing the opposite by increasing ur dose will only keep leading to dose escalation and inevitable withdrawl. 1mg a day is the max swim would wanna take...but this is really an issue between u and ur physician.

Definitely mention the withdrawal symptoms to the doctor prescribing the alprazolam. He'll likely switch SWIY to a long-acting benzodiazepine such as diazepam which is easier to manage long-term without inducing a tolerance, which SWIY clearly has a strong tolerance from taking two prescriptions at once...

There are MANY threads, forum wide, on dealing with doctors (please search the Tag Cloud). or UTF(conventional)SE

OP: You do NOT need more benzodiazepines, you need a sensible way of managing dependence and withdrawal
