Purity - 'Brands' of Diazepam..

SWIM would like to know about different brands/fakes/generics etc. I have read the generic vs. brand thread, however swim thinks this is a slightly different issue.

SWIM has taken 'Mano' 'HK' 'Roche' and generic's before, and has also bought them on the 'street', so to speak. How is it you can get a tub of 1000 HK's or Mano's for between £XXX and £XX, whereas Roche cost over a xxx a piece. Is this because the ones in tubs that come over from Thailand, China, India etc. are fakes? SWIM doesn't understand how there can be such a difference in price.

A lab test on all the different brands would be the ideal answer, I just wondered if anyone can help myself and SWIM on this one.

It's not a case of being fake/weaker/different. It's a case of manufacturing processes. If they're made in a different country with weaker/less enforced labor laws, manufacturers can cut costs without reprimand. also other countries may have large subsidies that artificially deflate the price of their exports. Not sure if any of these are the direct causes, they're just likely culprits.

If they're made under a still existing patent for a specific formulation, (ie no generics can yet be made) this will also increase the price, but I doubt that applies to benzodiazepines since they've been on the market for so long.

with roches swiy can be relatively sure that 10mg is actually 10mg. cheaps/generics are usually off that and only contain 6-8mg if branded as 10mg. still, it's usually just smarter to buy generics if swiy finds a source with GOOD generics.

SWIM had tried many generics, those available in germany are all the same.
some will dissolve faster, therefor work faster, but no difference, actually.
From the time SWIM had a lot of foreign generics he can tell that the Apaurin were really good, but the Bensedine were not the best. Not crap, but 7 or 8 from ten possible points. And they came blistered, so SWIM could see that they were no 5 mg instead.
But SWIM never had foreign generics that were real crappy, so he can't complain.

yes, you are right, if they are made by shobgite-pharma®TM, licensed by
bumdass-generics®TM, somewhere in Lacklusterian.

a manufacturer of pharmaceuticals would lose his license, if the concentration
of the substance would vary in a way that it exceeds or goes below certain
values. most european countries have very strict regulations. and serbia is
not a neighbouring state of Lacklusterian.
working imprecise in making pills could also mean that a pill doesn't contain
only 60 % of the active substance. it also could mean it contains 140 % of
the active substance. this could be fun for alplax users, but it also could be
a problem when substances must be given in rather precise doses.

Generally brands fetch higher prices, they are trusted more and harder to fake but don't think there aren't fakes going about, Roche included. Other things like the Mano, and especially Tensium and Ardin are faked much more easily so it drops the price, there really is no telling.

My fiend has bought Tensium and Ardin that haven't been worth the chalk they were printed on, and yet on other occasions they seemed to have some benzodiazepine content at least, whether or not it's actually diazepam is anyone's guess.

Swim gets his on prescription, and the pharmacist gives him generics.
The control in the UK is very strickt, but in Pakistan ? Swim in the UK.
